  1. So I assume the attractions will change during their maintenance period? That is great, and at least all the attractions will not close all at once like Kids World to Dreamworks.
  2. TBH I am expecting track to only appear at the park in late 2023-early 2024. The SFC’s clone at Gumbuya only had track appear in May/June and was ready by December. I expect it will be an empty land for most of 2023.
  3. Could it be due to the accident on Rebel Coaster in September? IIRC they are the same coaster with different names.
  4. The first one is similar to Spongebob's Boating School Blast. But yes, interesting to see what one it will be. The structure holding the planes looks quite similar to the Dronkey Glider one, so I assume it is just a retheme. I am guessing Gingy, Puss in Boots Sword Swing or both will be going to make room. The only problem with the rock n tug is that there will be the big red boat coaster as well as the big red boat rock and tug. I feel like everything in the ABC Kids area will be demolished except the Big Red car photo area.
  5. If a new movie comes out, its up to Village to make a new ride, not Warner Bros. Only two coasters themed to a movie that comes out at the same time have been made, Green Lantern in 2011 and Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster in 2002. In fact the latter was filmed next door and IIRC some of the props from the movie were used in the coaster.
  6. Jamberoo looks to me like the best themed water-park in Australia. Most of our waterparks are just concrete with slides towers on top (cough cough Raging Waters Sydney and White Water World) so nice to see a well-themed one.
  7. I wonder if Nine/Seven News Melbourne will cover it as well tomorrow? Unlike in Perth, they will need to mention Adventure Park, Gumbuya World and Luna Park.
  8. It seems they are just doing that after spending the morning at WnW: So far, their schedule has been: January 10: Arrive in Singapore January 11: Universal Studios Singapore January 12: Travel from Singapore to Melbourne/Melbourne to Gold Coast January 13: Movie World January 14: Aussie World/Australia Zoo January 15: Wet N Wild/Movie World
  9. For me SurfRider is a coaster and has always been a coaster. Most people would recognise and see it as a rollercoaster as well. Just because it isn’t a full circuit doesn’t mean it isn’t a coaster.
  10. I dont think it will go to Movie World TBH. It would be good for the park to have another coaster and it would be easy relocating it as it is less than 1km away, but would most likely be used as filler and would most likely have low ridership compared to Superman Escape and Batman Spaceshot. I'm putting my bets on a Sea World relocation.
  11. The media are overreacting about Leviathan breaking down. A story is airing about it in Victoria on 9News.
  12. Unfortunately the on-ride themeing is almost non existent. There is no theming around the track. At least Scooby, Road Runner and Superman have themeing around the track, unlike DCR and GL. Also it seems that TPW will miss out on Scooby as it is closed for unscheduled maintenance. At least all the other rides are open.
  13. Doubt it. The only rides that could be affected when WoO is under construction would be Superman or Scooby. The others are not close and do not have anything to do with WoO.
  14. A B&M coaster at the GC wont open until 2025 earliest. Movie World and Dreamworld have plans for 2023-2024 and White Water/Wet N Wild will not be getting one for obvious reasons. Sea World doesn't have enough room.
  15. We do need more inverting coasters in Australia. Currently we have 28 coasters in Australia, but only 6 invert. In comparison, 22 don't invert and will increase to 27 > 6 when we get the new coasters confirmed in the next few years. These are the only ones that invert: Green Lantern (Movie World, 2 inversions) Steel Taipan (4 inversions) Gold Coaster (Dreamworld, 2 inversions) Abyss (Adventure World, 3 inversions) Project Zero (Gumbuya World, 2 inversions) Big Dipper III (Luna Park Sydney, 2 inversions)
  16. If Paramount Parks never sold Wonderland, then we could've had our own Cedar Fair Park. Unfortunately it was Paramount's least priority (not being named Paramount's Wonderland in 1994 like the other parks in the chain and remaining under same management) it was sold to new owners in 1997 who made silly excuses to close areas (the kids area was apparently closed for being "too big") and the park was closed in 2004.
  17. Yep! From a Victorian perspective, Luna Park Melbourne has some very intense rides like Enterprise, and Gumbuya World has two of the most intense rides in Australia, Rebel and Project Zero being two out of only four rides to reach 5Gs (Vortex at SW and SX360 at Aussie World are the others). Both are family parks. A family park is a park where all members of the family can have fun, for thrill seekers and the faint-hearted. It doesn’t have to be all family rides.
  18. New rides have been added to the maintenance schedule: 24 April-3 June - Sylvester and Tweety Cages 24 April-23 June - DC Rivals Hypercoaster 24 April-23 June - Wild West Falls 22 May-23 June - Road Runner Rollercoaster 17 July-4 August - SCOOB 4D Experience 17 July-15 September - Green Lantern 17 July-15 September - Yosemite Sam Railroad Mostly similar to 2022 except Yosemite is moved from May to July.
  19. Yes it is Gumbuya who I am predicting will add a resort. The Herald Sun has reported they are working to establish accommodation They have lots of room Good place on the highway No hotels basically in-between Melbourne and Tralagon Perfect timing with the 2026 Commonwealth Games I am thinking it will be separately priced, with a big 300-400 room resort. Comparing it with the Sea World Resort and Hotel V, my guess is it will be more like the former due to height restrictions. Rooms that face the forest will most likely be more costly.
  20. The slogan is “A new formula for thrills”. Interesting. Could it be themed the same or Formula One? This is what I think will happen to it: LSM Launch Launch and Brake to be developed by Intamin or Zamperla Queue to be moved from the middle of the track New theme in some form And IF there is any change to the track etc. Not staying in its current form, here’s what I hope will happen: Station is moved slightly to the left of the track Due to the speed of LSMs slower than Hydraulic Launch, a rollback is introduced and something like Steel Taipan’s launch is introduced where a rollback happens, goes up the tail whip, then goes to complete the track However I think the only change to the layout will be LSMs. If changed it could be the tallest coaster in the world as well as maybe the fastest.
  21. Great to see so many popular YouTubers visit our parks. The Scenic Railway is a great coaster IMO.
  22. I was going to see you and the crew on the 17th at Gumbuya World but unfortunately I am busy that day, as well as the two others (GP) who I am going with not wanting to go on that day (as there will likely be more than 100 enthusiasts there with Fast Pass, and they are not buying it) P.S Will you be going on the flat rides/waterslides at Adventure World/Adventure Park etc. or just the coasters?
  23. Not a prediction for 2023, but one for 2024: One park not from the GC (in VIC) will build a resort. Hint: It has already hinted at a resort previously as part of its next expansion.
