What I am trying to say is not a full blown Ten retheme, but just maybe a test at newsreading or maybe a Ten themed ride (like SP7 at Wonderland) The rest would be Paramount themed rides. Yes that would be great, get rights off Universal to rename it to "Universal Studios Gold Coast" Universal Studios Singapore's main street looks similar to Movie World so why not make MW look like that? RE: JL being removed, why not replace it with a Simspons ride clone? The Simpsons is one of the most popular shows on the planet, and Disney have been willing to give other parks use of The Simpsons, like USF/USH. But in all cases, the most likely option is for MW to remain with WB.

The BBL and AFL turned to shit when it moved to Seven/Fox, not Ten. When they were on Ten everyone loved it, and I have seen many people saying "AFL was the best on Ten" The BBL was becoming big on Ten but when it moved in 2018 to 7/Fox it went downhill. Yes you can say it about the Melbourne Cup and A-League, but the former is on RACING.COM and Sky Racing where people go to mainly watch horse racing, and the A-League ratings was already so shit on ABC that it moved to ABC ME. Ten/Paramount+ apparently are trying to get Cricket, and have reportedly bid the highest above of 7/Fox/Nine. Just because it might be on Ten doesn't mean the game will suddenly die. News might turn to shit, but not sport on Ten. If VRTP made a deal with Ten/Paramount to rebrand Movie World (if WB gave up on them) I would like to see the WWF mountain rethemed to Paramount Mountain (unlikely but would be great) and they could have a "test your skills at newsreading" in one of the buildings branded to 10 News First.

The good thing about partnering with Paramount is you are also doing a deal with Channel 10, maybe if a rebrand happens Ten can have exclusive previews of new rides and shows for their news as well as even Wild West Falls being rebranded to Paramount mountain. Also IIRC Village and Ten did a deal for Village movies to be aired on Ten so that adds another factor with going with Paramount.

Yes Paramount and Sony would be a good option. Highly doubt Disney/Fox or Universal would partner for obvious reasons. If they go with Sony, they could do a deal with Marvel (as SpiderMan/Venom is released by Sony not Disney) and try to include other Marvel properties. The rides could be: Spiderman Escape (retheme of Superman) Marvel Rivals Hypercoaster (retheme of DC Rivals) Doctor Doom (retheme of Green Lantern) IronMan SpaceShot (retheme of Batman Spaceshot) Loki's Time Spinner (retheme of Doomsday) Wild West Falls (no retheme, just the logo replaced on the cars) Hotel Transylvania Spooky Coaster (retheme of Scooby) The Avengers: Alien Invasion (retheme of JL Alien Invasion) Sony Studio Showcase (retheme of WB Studio Showcase) Hollywood Stunt Driver (no retheme) Roxy Theater (no retheme, shows changed to Marvel/Sony Pictures Animation) Street Stars Parade (characters changed to Marvel/SPA) New York Film Academy (no retheme) Spider-Man Meet and Greet (retheme of Tom and Jerry) Not sure about Looney Tunes/WoO).

I have thought of a possible scenario at Movie World. What if Warner Bros and Village Roadshow decided to cut ties with each other and Movie World was forced to be rebranded to non-WB items? What would it rebrand to, and would it have a generic theme or would they go with Sony Pictures etc.

Doing the top makes the colour consistent through the whole tower and makes it look much better IMO. I love the black more than the grey.

With rides, I feel like the only thing they will do is either open them up for Village Key members a few days earlier before the people without it, or make an exclusive time for them to ride them. Cannot see them making exclusive rides for Village Key members only. It would also be bad for people interstate not able to ride rides "because only Village Key members can" (as most likely they wouldn't have them)

Gumbuya World 2 coasters under construction
TBoy replied to DaptoFunlandGuy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Looking at videos I agree. It looks like one of Australia's smoothest coasters, the only ones I could think that could beat it are the ones at LPS. I wonder if MW will change their coaster, seeing as another park in the country has installed it? Also one thing I have noticed: GW and MW are getting the same coaster, but the feedback seems to be different. I have heard people praise Gumbuya but dislike Movie World for their coaster choices. Same with the former Buzzsaw. Lots of people hated it there but now suddenly everyone loves it at Gumbuya. -
The Ride of Your Life special is airing tonight due to the Cricket ending early. Watching it again as a enthusiast, it seems that Seven are basically putting only the negative events that happened into the program. If everyone trusted the media in theme parks everyone would be too scared to go to them and no one would go.

Gumbuya World 2 coasters under construction
TBoy replied to DaptoFunlandGuy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
The only realistic ones I could see is Play School wheel and Motocoaster. This is because: Gumbuya already has teacups, mini pirate ship, playground and wave swinger, so no point buying another All rides at Dreamworks are confirmed to stay except Gingy's/Puss and Gumbuya already has a wave swinger as said before, especially not Madagascar as Gumbuya are already getting a SFC I feel like PSW is a more likely and better option, as GW will have enough coasters for a few years and it could be a good addition to the Outback Explorers area along with a carousel. -

I don't think so, look at White Water World where one is made by ProSlide while the other is by White Water. That was a few weeks ago. I feel like getting an overseas clone that hasn't been made in Australia yet would be good, like this: Compact space, but is also a great looking coaster with one of the fastest inversions. -

I would personally install a carousel, plane ride and Intamin droptower, as well as a kids Ferris wheel and one/two more rollercoasters by Mack that match ST/DCR (the other one in this scenario would be a woody made by unknown). Also have a big expansion to the zoo to make it one of Australia's biggest zoos. For the waterpark, I would install a funnel slide, aqualoop, cannon bowl, hydrocoaster and a dark slide, as well as another kids playground all made by ProSlide. This would also mean that the waterpark is split off from the theme park/zoo (like DW/WWW). -
Big Banana plans $50 million dollar expansion over the next 20 years
TBoy replied to Jobe's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Awesome pics. Great to see that the VIC and NSW parks are starting to play serious compared to 20 years ago. -
$30 IIRC, same as MW DC Rivals

So I guess this is happening: Madagascar is being rebranded to Kenny + Belinda Shrek is being rebranded to ABC Kids Kung Fu Panda is being rebranded to Ocean Parade I would say Puss and Boots and Gingy's Glider will be going due to the Dreamworld Flier (no need for 2) and replaced with current ABC Kids attractions.
-
By the looks of the concept art, it looks to be rebranded as Big Red Boat. I feel like the current Big Red Boat will go as well as Banana's In Pyjamas Fun Maze. Dorothy's Rosy Tea Cup and Play School Wheel replace Gingy's Gliders and Puss In Boot's Sword Swing respectively, and the new Big Red Coaster will replace Escape From Madagascar.
-
Looking back at images, it seems that these will be safe: Madagascar Live (Dreamworks theater) Mad Jungle Jam (Belinda's Tree House) Shrek's Ogre-Go-Round Dronkey Fliers Pandanonium (rebranded) Vintage Cars (relocated) TBH I don't think branding Shrek/Dronkey from Shrek to ABC Kids is a great idea. Shrek appeal to all kids, Banana's In Pyjamas and The Wiggles don't.

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
TBoy replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
7NEWS story on the new coaster: -
List of New Attractions: The Dreamworld Flier. A Wave Swinger coming to the park in 2023. Suitable for all ages. Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland. Refurb of DreamWorks Experience. New experiences based off Play School, Bananas in Pyjamas and The Wiggles. ABC Kids World will also merge into this new land. Ocean Parade Expansion. Refurb of Ocean Parade with a new splash zone, and reimagined bumper cars and Pandanonium. Rivertown. New area based off jungle with Vintage Cars moved into the area. Jungle Rush. New $35 million coaster built by Vekoma with 12 airtime moments, ability to go both directions as well as a world first inclined turntable. My thoughts: I like the idea of the Dreamworld Flier. I am surprised it took so long for one to come as Gumbuya World, Adventure Park and LPM all have one. Yes Sea World had one but there hasn't been one in QLD for 3 years until December. Great to see Dreamworks and ABC Kids merge into one with kids rides all around. I assume most rides from ABC will be moved over to the new location with some new ones. Unfortunately I feel like some rides won't make the cut and they will be retired. Ocean Parade expansion sounds awesome, but not much compared to the massive expansions elsewhere. Rivertown sounds awesome, with a controlled rollercoaster and the vintage cars moved. With the ability to go both directions I feel like maybe there will be a vote at the start whether to go forwards or backwards. RE: The retiring of rides, I feel like these will stay: Shrek's Ogre Go Round (rebranded to BIP) Play School Wheel Pandanonium (rebranded) Big Red Boat Dorothy's Tea Cups Play School Wheel Escape to Madagascar (rebranded) Skadoosh Mad Jungle Jam The Claw Tail Spin Giant Drop Shockwave I unfortunately think BIP Maze, Gingy's Gliders, PIB Sword Swing and Dronkey Fliers will be retired. The fact most of them will become less popular due to the DreamWorld Flier as well as the decreased room will probably mean some wont make the cut.
