Jungle Rush Coaster
Probably the best thread for this I could find, but we all know its not going to be reopened, however Dreamworld has now updated the site to show this. Rest in peace Vintage cars: 1981-2023. On top of this, Dreamworld has removed any mention of the vintage cars from the Rivertown page, saying things that include "Rivertown will feature a re-theme of a much-loved Dreamworld favourite as Murrissippi Motors" and "Murrissippi Motors will see brand-new vehicles and a completely new and unique driving experience – fun for the entire family." This looks like it was done without much thought, and it's bound to leave a few people confused when they wonder what the Dreamworld favourite was.

What is next for our parks?
That is true. I'm not sure how many people know this, but Flowrider is actually still there. It's weird that they've kept it, unless there's plans to move it to WWW or re open it when the park becomes year round. It would make sense to reopen that entrance when the park opens year round. I do agree that they need to add more rides in that area. Maybe a redevelopment of the old Lazer tag building and Trolls village would bring guests to that side of the park again. There is really no need to close rides to make way for new attractions when they have so much unused space in the park.

What is next for our parks?
I should definitely not expect Dreamworld to remove the Gold Coaster. This may be personal but it is one of the best rides in the park and one of only two major coaster DW has. If anything, i feel they will continue to maintain it for at least ten to fifteen years. However they do need adequate signage as not many tourists know it is in DW and not WWW, as the lines are much emptier than they used to be.

I do not have pictures, but for a few days they had the white water world attractions on the park maintenance list as (not positive) temporarily closed. It has since been removed. Just thought that this was the right thread to report this change to. Giant Drop has also since re opened after the short maintenance.- Old video footage of our Aussie theme parks in 80's/90's
i whole heartedly agree with you. although coast entertainment are starting to try and bring DW back to life, they still have a long way to go.- Markings around Claw?

Serpent slayer has again been pushed back for another month to the 5th of July. Vintage cars has kept is reopening date of 21st of June for a while now, so hopefully this means they are actually getting some work done. I plan to go tomorrow and check so i might post them on here soon. Motorcoaster is also still planned to reopen on the 21st as well as the Playschool Wheel.- Jungle Rush Coaster
That is also true. What I was trying to suggest is that theres most likely 4 cycles: the forward train and backwards train most likely have 1 or 2 different cycles each. I may be wrong though. I guess the only way to find out for sure is to wait until the ride opens or Dreamworld releases another update.- Jungle Rush Coaster
I'm not sure, but what I think will happen is because of the turntable, the ride will end up in a different orientation when re-entering the station at the end of the ride, therefore having a different experience on the next cycle. If not that, then most likely it will have different planned cycles that it will cycle in between. At first you most likely will only be able to ride it once a day lol. the ride is by far one of the most anticipated in the history of dreamworld.- Jungle Rush Coaster
That is definitely true. In this case however, I have been comparing DW and MW, not SW. I must agree on you though, as WWW needs new rides, and perhaps a redesign of fully 6 after the accident. With wedgie and the two main slides from fully 6 SBNO, there is a lot of potential for a new area. I personally feel that after the opening of Rivertown, the remaining thunderbolt plot should be given to WWW, and if that is not possible, then the old flowrider and trolls village site should become a part of WWW, as i don't see DW using the area again anytime soon. The only problem with that would be the location of the Gold Coaster's enterance. SW has been recieving some much needed TLC and is looking really good, however after WoZ is completed, Village should focus their attention on Wet'n'Wild, with the park loosing both SurfRider and Aqualoop within the past two years, they need to at least focus on cleaning up the park, as it is beginning to show it's age again. Overall I feel like Coast is doing a better job at balencing upkeep and developing than Village is.- Jungle Rush Coaster
saw your video this morning. theming looks good. Murrisippi motors is also coming along well. the website has not updated the reopening date for the ride, so vintage cars may possibly reopen one more time, but it is still debatable. overall i think dreamworld will definitely be able to bounce back with this. I have passes to both Dreamworld and Movieworld and Dreamworld is gaining visitors at a faster rate than MW. Overall I feel like more people are anticipating Rivertown than Wizard of Oz land, most likely due to the fact that Dreamworld has been doing more development than MW over recent years, with Movieworld's last Big development aside from Flash/Woz being DC Rivals (I may be mistaken though).- Dreamworld Gold Rush Country General Store update
