Minecraft - Amusement Parks
I think in a sense its just like playing with lego, and seeing what you can do within the construct of the game. It's quite deep from what i can see. If coasters don't float your boat you can do stuff like build simple computers using the switches and redstone in the game. There's a certain satisfaction to be had for some people for building particularly elaborate stuff like this.

2014 In Dreamworld - Tail Spin construction, Wipeout refurbishment, Triple Vortex construction
I think view is referring to the view for riders...to capture your face well might necessitate having the camera in an an annoying location that detracts from guests being able to see the ground the horizon etc while riding which is part of what makes GD awesome.

http://www.absoluteaquatics.com/8400af-kasco-marine-high-oxygen-aerator/ Excuse me Bladex, its an oval shaped lake not connected to anything with an island in the middle, not a river. You can install aerators, reticulation systems, clean it up manually with a specially equipped boat etc. How about You do your homework? UQ has several ornamental lakes with islands...they didn't get weedy.

There is a difference between your usual muddy water, and something that is infested with duckweed and algae. Golf couses, housing estates, parks etc often have ornamental lakes...Guess they all have some secret method DW can't do eh?

The Off Topic Topic
As the resident public transport nerd ocassional is the word. Regular would mean hourly at least or something. What we have here is an occasional diversion of the standard 615.

Favourite US Theme Park Blogs
Not US based, but bannister.org is a good site for reviews of basically any theme park or coaster.

Dreamworld - Advertisment for new attractions airing
Yet another topic where I get to edit the title to a more literal description I saw the ad in question last night on a pub tv (No sound), it just showed a close up of a rider on pandamonium with the caption "new thrill ride" and a close up of people on screamin right handers with the caption "new slide". Obviously trying to just suggest that those things are coming, without actually being specific.

Speculation on my part, but certain stuff like structural X-Rays might need to be done off site (If they indeed were doing stuff like that)

Movie World - Carnivale
I went tonight, it was bloody awesome. Parade went for a solid 30 mins, and floats were animated (A snapping alligator, a blinking beauty, a posiedon waving his triton etc). For the earlier part of the night there were jugglers, acrobats, dancers, fire twirlers at every turn through the park. In terms of food I ate some spicy sausage and chicken gumbo with rice, hot boneless buffalo wings (top marks for these since the sauce was the proper american taste) a serve of curly/crinkle cut "halfsies" fries with ranch and chipotle, a slice of pecan pie w/ icecream, a slice of key lime pie w/ icecream and a peach/mango mocktail. I feel a bit seedy at present as a result, but worth it ($50 on food in total) I did JL and GL...First night ride on GL and first time I have seen it running all 6 cars.

Theme park experience
I was pretty honest in that respect. Didn't go in the lazy river at Jamberoo, so didn't count it.

MW Mini Driving School - Officially Confirmed
Wouldn't they be similar to the cars seen on other driving school attractions, like the Legoland ones, or the Peugeot one at Alton Towers?

A Topic For Debate: Should Aussie World Introduce Annual Passes?
For most regular theme parks it seems to be you can pay off your annual pass in two visits or so...Certainly WnW Sydney follow that formula. The GC parks did too prior to the VIP/unlimited World Passes. Per cap would drop, but the overall profit level would rise. The fundamental question is what would serve the park better? -Being a 'boutique' type place where it is known that the lines are always short etc. -Growing and expanding overall. Judging by what the likes of Adventure World, Adventure Park, Jamberoo, Funfields etc have done, I think the latter is the best for long term success. Anyone noticed how Aussie World was pretty quiet with minimal expansions, but now they seem to be making a real effort to get the park to a decent size. Also, another ride they could put on the hillside:
