  1. I'd lean towards WnW/WWW. If you have to get changed into swimmers to do something then it limits your ridership in a dry park like SW, and patronage would be low in the winter months.
  2. Suprised a few people didn't take a pic of the people up there with umbrellas etc.
  3. To be honest I reckon it's a false economy to use an all day locker. Even at $2 a pop, that's still 5 hours of queuing and riding you'd need to do on the one attraction to break even with an all day locker. No other rides require lockers, so an all day one seems over the top, unless you carry a lot. And even then, what's worse/ expends more time an energy? Carrying a backpack all day, or having to walk the length of the park and go back to the locker every time you want to buy something.
  4. SW is a full day park I found...i wouldn't try to combine it with the Zoo.
  5. Jobe, did you have a link to the original Coasterforce/UKrides topics at all? Cant find them. I'm still unclear what you meant in these two posts yesterday...What did you mean with the reference to the medieval themed area, and what has spinning coaster got to do with it anyway?
  6. These days there are signs on the lockers stating that an $8 fee applies for overstaying the 1h limit. Also, GL has loose items boxes now
  7. How do you mean? Whirlwind is not a medieval name, the ride is painted green and yellow (link) and the cars are generic Maurer Sohne ones with a picture of a chipmunk on them (link), nor does Whirlwind have any medieval theming. Camelot theme park is cheapo (Thats why they went out of business)...They literally just plopped in a traveling ride without really doing anything else. Being in a theme park named Camelot does not make it medieval themed. It's like saying V8 Supercars Redline is ocean themed just because it's in ocean parade.
  8. High recommend coming back to ride...The guns vibrate on the game screens now, queue moves fast despite being out to the hall of justice room today, and targets work better. New PB: 85005
  9. So in other words you have to implement a whole lot more complexity, employ a staff member to issue wristbands, just so people could use up remaining minutes. If you want that sort of flexibility, then you rent an all day locker. Honestly, Pin is right, when you park in many places, its in hour blocks and you pay for each block, if you don't use it and go over...too bad. When you use public transport, you might buy a 1 zone ticket and travel one stop, or you might go from one side the zone to the other...You don't get a discount in this case for only using part of your entitlement. But I agree with Joz that lockers could be free. However, my favourite way of dealing with loose items is at Alton Towers / Thorpe Park...A cloakroom. Means you can keep your phone with you in line, which I think is important from a guest service perspective. In 2005 when Superman was built nobody was using FB on their phone or playing Angry Birds
  10. But Superman is themed to a subway :S
  11. ^How does the system know it's "you" resuming the hire. Lol, not quite the point I was making. I'd have no issue with a "conveyer belt" or whatever if it were a workable solution, I was just questioning why Gary86 said it "suits the theme".
  12. Quick question but how does it fit the theme....I've ridden a few subways/metro systems and not a single one has conveyer belts for anything.
  13. That's the one, I mean who gives a shit about WWW these days anyway White Water Who? Oh yeah, look up Application: MCU-121092 - SPA - Material Change Of Use on http://www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/pd-online to see all the docs. Address is 835 BOAT HARBOUR DRIVE, URANGAN and 112 PULGUL STREET, URANGAN
  14. Its more that the outside one is an overflow, normally doesn't get used unless its the busiest of days.
  15. Thanks Strop. Just looking at the scan and using the same map key numbers these are the Proslide rides planned: 1) Tornado!! 2) Tantrum Alley slide. 3) Superloop and freefall slides (Eg the same as Wedgie at WWW) 4) Kraken Racer (A 4 lane racer with an intertwined enclosed section like the old Twister at WnW) 5) Ridehouse water play structure with tipping bucket 6) Toddler pool and slide 7) "Topsy Turvy (1 person raft version of a tantrum slide), "Probowl" (Like the little rippers at WWW), plus two normal raft slides. 8) Freefall Family raft slide (Like the plunge at the SW water park, but with a U turn at the start) 9) Bowling alley slide, but with only one bowl. This is a 4 person bowl slide like BRO at Whitewater world, but the bowl is the next size down. 10) Future dueling master blaster / rocket.
  16. In other words, the 'bully didn't know what that paragraph meant so just used it verbatim.
  17. I guess what I was getting at is that most of the slides at Adventure world were pretty much standard generic ones from the 80s/90s. Nothing really in the way of some new waterslide tech, I just think for smaller parks though, a good waterslide for a few mil is a better proposition than a mediocre dry ride.
  18. I wouldn't be opposed to more slides if they started getting less generic ones. They need to round out the lineup with a Tornado, boomerango, rocket or something along those lines.
  19. I think because you can buy a VIP/Discovery at any ticket booth, they use the thin cards since they can be done much faster, on a standard laser printer (Rather than having to get a specialised card printer everywhere)
  20. Gotta admit though, Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy was a better name than Arkham Asylum Coaster.
  21. As far as I'm concerned, whatever is on the sign at the park I take as official. The Disneyland park map has "Indiana Jones Adventure" printed on it http://mappery.com/map-of/Disneyland-Theme-Park-map But at the park it's "Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye", which is my preferred name anyway.

Plus i've always hated how the master blaster had overbanked turns as a piece option. Not possible in real life.

Looks cool, especially the main street bit, but the watersides aren't realistic in the slightest.
  24. The ride has a sign now, its proper 3d and exactly the same as the logo (Made of a smooth metalic blue moulded material and perforated mesh) and it attached to the top of the ride safety sign (similar width) Looks good!
  25. I too have worked at major multidisciplinary firm and what you describe sounds familiar to me haha
