While walking across the bridge to Topgolf yesterday I noticed this new building under construction.

For context it was roughly in this area 

Does anyone know what this could be for? Could it be a building to replace the function of another which is being demolished. My first thoughts were, I’d the small building SW of the AA being demolished to allow for construction of WoO? But I don’t know what the use or height of that SW building is, so I could be very wrong with that comment. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

Sorry to go off-track, but you've just reminded me that I also saw an under construction building last time I went to the park. Don't have any pictures of it sadly, though I tried, as I assumed it was only viewable from DCR's raised brakerun (where I saw it). Don't know if it's the same building or not, but it was pretty close to the turn into station. As for what it could be, if WoO takes up enough space to warrant their removal (which, from what I can tell, it does) maybe it's a replacement for this building?

If not that, then I don't have a clue.

The DC Rivals brake run building looked to me like it had a queue line built into it, my speculation was that it was a Fright Nights maze.

i was going to say possibly it’s new fright night building’s as the WoO construction might block the access points to it, they don’t look like they’d be able to fit 2 mazes though so i’m guessing 1 maze each if that’s the case? wonder where the other ones would go

Interesting, I didn't notice that. Haven't done a maze before, but it seemed a bit too small to me. In any case, I doubt the original building'll be for that purpose too, as that'd be too far away from any existing guest pathway, or am I wrong?

Isn't the building in front of you in DCR's brake run occupied by Show Film / Show Group?

That was my guess, that it was something not related to the park as it'd be incredibly difficult to route any path there, let alone a temporary one.

The one being constructed, or the ones already there? If by already there, I thought they were a part of the film studio.

I've always known that house as the Spielberg house. It was a studio bungalow, used for many things over the years but including editing suites and similar. I'm sure the Spielberg name attached itself after it was used, but I don't have any source for this.

I noticed over the holidays the entire house had been demolished and a new one was being constructed in the same location. My guess is the existing structure was end-of-life or was otherwise in need of an upgrade, and the studio sprang for a replacement facility.

I'm pretty sure it's Building 26 on the studio site plan which is listed as the home of ProxiVR although I've no idea whether that site plan is current or not.
