BEST AUSSIE COASTER 2012

^ I just put it down to slow loading (thanks to the trains/restraints) and a relatively long cycle time. The irony of it being the most family friendly ride in the big 7 is that it the normal seats also have one of the higest height requirements, while also while offering the dullest, most uncomfortable ride. IMHO, MDMC did was punching well above it's weight when it came in second last.

Yeah I thought it'd be because of the restraints. The restraints are very confusing the first time you ride.

Pretty much. I think Aussie World's Wild Mouse should be on the poll, its actually quite a good coaster. Better than Motocoaster and even Cyclone IMO.

Only one actually (Luna Park Sydney), and its fairly unique as there are only three wooden wild mouse coasters in the world.

Lethal Weapon and Sea Viper are more unique rides? Used to have two siblings down south until one was relocated to Indonesia.

Doesn't matter. Just group it as "Wooden Wild Mouse (AW/LPS/Shows)" I mean, polls on here allow up to 20 choices, of which only 10 have been used so there is little excuse for not having at least a bit more scope on the ones most people would have ridden. Surfrider is more like Aussie World's Redback ride imo. I don't see how it's a "rollercoaster" in the same context as the one's I've included in the Poll.

True, but the manufacturer (Intamin) class it as a coaster, and it uses multiple LSM launches to reach full speed, while Disk-O's like the Redback are powered.

If it's on RCDB it's a coaster. Redback carries it's propultion source on the vehicle itself, which is why it is not categorised as a coaster, but surfrider is. Typologically, Surfrider is like a sit down Impulse coaster...

Shouldn't this be the best coaster 2011, as 2012 is far from over. like all award ceremonies they are held at the begininng of the year to vote the best of the previous year.

It would be worth running the poll again in a couple of months anyway, for a couple of reasons. -See how AA:ST does with new trains. -Actually include more coasters.

I don't understand the sudden influx of criticism. People could sit here and argue all day what or what shouldn't have been included in the poll but at the end of the day it was my poll and I made it this way and had a logical reason for doing so. If you don't like it then make your own poll.
