Dreamworld & WhiteWater World, June 2014

Dreamworld is a hive of activity with new and upgraded attractions all around. Wipeout is receiving a major refurbishment, a new Big 9 Thrill Ride is due in August and WhiteWater World starts work on their next slide.

Would it be wrong to think that maybe, just maybe the wipeout water may return?

Isn't there enough clearance without the need for the ground to be recessed?

Wouldn't they have filled it in otherwise?

I had to look a few times at the Murrisippi - the first photo of the river just made it look like a golf course... it was hard to believe that was water. They need to put some agitators in - a few water fountains or something wouldn't cost much.

Looking at the wipeout queue, it looks like the 'loose items house' has had a new door put in - is that right?

The WWW shot (after the half-painted Claw) really highlights how faded all the slide pieces are... this new slide is really going to highlight how badly WWW colours have faded.

Anyone have any ideas for the WWW slide... "triple the fun" and what it might mean (maybe an Alley?... is there room?) - sure it could have three elements... or it could just be that its a third 'little ripper'? (unlikely but the triple could mean just that)...

Does anyone know where the Dreamworld logo has gone and why it has so? Would it just be for a repaint. If so, it seems Dreamworld has come to realise that the park was starting to look a little run down in some areas.

I think there are a couple of rides, such as the claw, that could do with a repaint (which could be done in maintenance). It just brings rides back to life a little.

Also, how difficult can it be for Dreamworld to simply remove, or even better replace old and worn out signs, such as the one at MDMC.

And surely it can't be to difficult for them to install a filtration system, or something to keep the water moving, so it looks cleaner.

On another idea - the missing logo at the front of the park - is it possible they're looking at changing the park's logo?

Maybe they are adding the 'Happiness' part to the logo now. It's on their website and all adverts.

Wooden frame still stands with the birds on top - they've just replaced the old wooden piece that was suspended from that frame, and replaced it with a sheet of sign-writer's steel.

I don't have pics unfortunately. didn't really regard it as that important. I'm sure someone else will have a pic soon enough...

Oh ok. Nah I was looking for pics if it was the bird sign, all good. Was a bit shocked they would have removed that one.
