Dream Coaster/Ride

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

What would your dream coaster or ride be? It has to be 100% original so no copies of pre-existing rides (Falcon's Fury, B&M Hyper etc.). They can be whatever you make of it and have as many unique elements/doodads that you want it to. I'll start off, I'd have a drop tower that could revolve upside down like a Kamikaze/Ranger. It can drop upside down and right side up. Look forward to see where we go with this!

So, one idea I've had bouncing around is super duper expensive, but basically a robocoaster type ride with full 8/12 seater cars, high speed lifts/ free falls, tilting track sections, and a collosal show building with large sets and screens, basically to really give a sense of being tossed about and totally immersed.

I love all the coaster Rocky Mountain Construction are doing at the moment.  I never been on one but love the look of them.  Has anyone on this site had the chance to ride one?

I also has a sketch book sacsta but once the internet came along I realised some had hacked my brain while I slept and stolen all my designs.

I still think there's a lot left to be discovered in terms of fourth dimension coasters. I'd imagine sometime in the next decade we'll see them make a comeback - who-ever can revisit the concept and make it cheaper for parks to own and operate will be onto something. I'm not sure what the obstacle was for going with an electronic system for spinning the seats, one naturally presumes redundancy and safety, in which case, if someone like Intamin can innovate the tech and overcome the need for a rack and pinion / second track system, they'll be on a winner. I can imagine mega-lites with customisable inversions for guests or "pick your intensity" scenarios. Super marketable for operators, and opens a pandora box of what could be potentially a new golden age for rides.

I've been on new texas giant and it's one of the best rides I've ridden. Fast pacing, airtime in every direction (Including "sideways airtime" on the overbanks. Plus the steep first drop is mental.

I've seen Wicked Cyclone testing, but was at the park about 6 days too early so was spited :(
