Hi guys/gals,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I've been going to the Gold Coast for the last 7 years and counting and I seem to miss Carnivale every year. Is there a rough guide as to what dates they are held? Last year I missed the first week by 4 days and the year before that I missed it by 2 weeks (I put in for annual leave 6 months in advance) and I'm hoping to catch it next year. Any guide as to when I should put in for annual leave for next year?

Welcome to the forums

Carnivale is usually around Easter time. This year it was mid April through to mid May. So imagine it would be similar dates in 2017

Well, the dates this year were quite different to in 2015. So I guess that will depend if they keep the 2016 dates in '17

Supposedly there will be some changes this year. No idea what they are or if they're good or bad, but apparently there will be changes.

I guess it should be a good thing since it's been the same show for a couple of years now.

Guess I'll just have to pull the trigger and hope they plan it for mid April, early May then. Thanks guys.
