Match made in heaven - where Village failed, where Palace trod water, i'm excited to see the Eddys make this park a success!

Already they're talking about retheming, extended operating season, and new attractions. Can't wait to see what they do with the place in the off season!

This is great news considering heaps of people here skip raging waters entirely and take the drive down south to Jamberoo.

Owners have a blank canvas - there's plenty of land left over to do whatever they like and barely anything has been added since opening.

Haven't been there in about 10 years so wouldn't know what it's like now but they really need to start with some shade and adding some grass

Hopefully the waterslides get a refurb / repaint soon. Honestly, I don't expect huge changes theming wise to be done for this season. I think this year it's going to be very much a transition year. I'd love to see them focus on operations and getting the swing of things first with some minor improvements to begin with. I think with them saying they want to get it done within 14 weeks is a bit ambitious but I think it will do well.

I think we should really be watching for the next 2 seasons for all the cosmetic upgrades to be done, and then looking into what new attractions will be added because the line up of slides is pretty solid but just looks bland. Fix what you have, and then making additions will be much easier. I really wish them all the best of luck, and I think the park is in good hands now.

A lot of the cosmetics above is just paint work and not difficult to achieve in a couple months. The Eddys have proven that they can deep-theme well, and while this has only been announced this week, they've no doubt been prepping for a while (though I suspect some of these Artist's Impressions are more likely AI reimaginings).

My biggest takeaway (as someone who never visited under either WNWS or RWS brandings) is just how sterile and prison-like some of these facilities feel - and honestly a little paint would be welcomed.

The screen over the wave pool is clever. later opening with screenings and such will be a good moneymaker. just maybe don't host any new years concerts yet. ;)

From what I understand, this has been in the works for over a year now, with the first offer taking place late 2024.

Sanderson Group (who built/themed Movie World) are involved in the project and seem to be delivering the retheme, so that seems extremely promising.....

The theme park industry is very "ghost written credits".

Went there once when village owned it - the facilities did look pretty bland and didnt have a lot of character. But for me the park's biggest flaw is that it is a concrete jungle like WWW. For a park that is designed to be navigated barefoot, that's not very good. Anyone who's visited the park after 2015 please provide some further insight if anything was different.

Converting the wave pool seating area to artificial turf (like wet n wild) would be a good start. A bit of landscaping around the slides can go a long way too. At the end of the day it's competing with the ocean

The slide selection itself is among the best australia has to offer, however the place was so bland and uncomfortable to move around in its no wonder why it hasnt seen a lot of success. No doubt jamberoo can fix up in both areas when they can

WWW just needs to be DW-fockerised. Sydney Action Park, meanwhile, needs to figure out what it wants to be.

100% agree with this I remember the old wooden plank area Infront of Aqua loop and near River Rapids and standing on that felt like standing on a hot stove top.

WWW I hope does get some new attractions soon as the lines there get really long now and it would be good to have some more capacity.

I've never seen bad work by Sanderson. Hopefully they're given the creative licence to realise the vision. Nothing worse as a creative than working for a company that scales back the budget and compromises the final product.
