I agree with Gazza, 0 inversions would be better than just 1. Airtime > inversions for me any day. I feel the inversion on Cheetah Hunt is totally unnecessary. If we get a massive airtime hill after the drop, & bunny hills back to the station after the helix I will be happy :) 

I have to say this coaster looks simply amazing, and is arguably the best new ride for 2017 along with Lech Coaster in Poland! It looks so gorgeous too with the sunny background; the pink and dark gray colours work very well imo. The layout itself has a lot of twisty sections that could be very exciting to ride.

 

I has been lucky enough to try both Alpina Blitz in France (the Mack Mega-lite version) and, more importantly, Helix at Liseberg. I can tell you both coasters are very enjoyable! They might not reach the insane levels of intensity of the best Intamin (EGF, El Toro, Taron), but both are still pretty forceful. The airtime is good ejector (again, not the craziest, but really fun nonetheless). Alpina Blitz's changes of direction in the middle section are pretty nervous and wicked too! Based on those 2 coasters I really think Mack masters the use of forces on a coaster and provides an excellent balance between airtime, G+, floater moments and delicate laterals. If they replicate that correctly on this Hyper, you're in for a very exciting ride since it's even bigger and possibly longer :D

 

Looking forward to more updates on this obviously :P

Well the Hyper coaster did not even make it into the travelandleisure.com top 48 attractions for 2017. Yes this is an international list including Coasters from Germany and Dubai. (It even has water parks and a S&S free spin on it) However the reason is that MW have waited so long to tease and God Knows when we will get an offical announcement. So not many people other then ones who visit the park frequently or people like us will know about it. Which I think is where VRTP have screwed themselves over and missed a big opportunity.

@Santa07@Gazza I originally typed 'outward banking', but then changed it before i submitted the post.  I've used it in other threads before and people had no idea what I was talking about.  I then had to post again describing the turn on GL to the people that didn't get it.

But I guess given my post describing the 'experience' of the new coaster, I guess Tip-Out would be appropriate. :D

Look Mack as a company has come a long way over the past few years, and i think now that they know their coasters are smooth, reliable and most importantly enjoyable to the gp, they have upped their game again believing that they can produce a ride that matches the intensity and thrill that intamin and B&M coaster have. i believe this coaster will be an example of this, and will be one of Macks finest pieces of work that they will look back on with pride for many years to come .

Care to explain? 

Lift hill construction has begun. Tonnes of supports in the area, and workmen preparing footers around the area. All cranes are now in carpark, with no more pieces installed for the loop.

Flash's loop went up before the lift hill was topped off, do you think we will see the same or will they try to get the lift hill and drop done asap while GL is closed?

Is there any advantage completing the highest point of a ride last?

It depends on the coaster.  GL had the Lift Hill as the first thing built, because it sits in the centre of the ride and all the other pieces slot in around it.

But it is likely that the lift hill will be one of the last things completed on this coaster because it may need a larger crane (which is more expensive) and it has the chain/drive/sensor components built into it - which require more specialised staff to install.  It would likely be more efficient to do that all at once.

I may be wrong, but I don't think it has much to do with height, more just about efficiency, and access maneuvering the track/supports/vehicles around the site.

 

Edit:  Also, I remember Fury325 and Banshee both had the lift hill built first (after the station).

I thought so to, but until now the cranes have remained on site, even if not in use, but today they are sat unused in the carpark. And because of the lift hill needing to be constructed while GL is closed, I imagine there focus will mainly be here now.

At what angle is the lift hill going to be? 45 degrees? Doesn't look like there is much room to climb  😬 Even though I know deep down there is...
