Big Cat Visitors Take Pride of Place at Dreamworld

Featured Replies

Soooo gorgeous!  I can't wait to go and see them this weekend.  DW got some heat when they announced it (uneducated animal activists screaming that transporting them would be stressful) but DW handled it brilliantly.  And @Theme Park Girl thanks for the photos...those Lions do not look stressed in the slightest!

Not at all, if anything they have demonstrating to be very playful animals! Spent a lot of time playing with their giant ball today, along with curiosity over the funny looking observers on the other side of the glass (esp when they are holding takeaway coffee cups) Was an absolute joy seeing these big fellas today, they really are magnificent beasts, and their size in real life will make your jaw drop! The tigers next door seemed like kittens in comparison.

Can't wait to do a return visit to check them out again. I'm actually a bit bummed that their visit will be so brief :(

Shame they can't stay longer, it would make a decent further expansion of Tiger Island to have lions (might need a name change then;))

Have to agree with @Locke here. Would love to see expansions to the African wildlife around Queensland. Sure we have native Australian zoo's but nothing like the expanse of Taronga. If it could be done it would be amazing for the wildliife conservation projects.

Possibly a little prejudice though as in my eight years in Australia I've never been to Australia zoo! Yet Taronga was first on my to do list in 2010 haha. And Queensland zoo although a nice attraction I feel it could be a lot better.
