Village Roadshow indicates September launch for DC Rivals HyperCoaster and reveals upcoming attractions for Sea World

The latest investor presentation by Village Roadshows points to a September launch for Movie World's DC Rivals HyperCoaster. The company has also announced several new attractions for Sea World including an "interactive splash zone" in October and a new seal show in December.

I was hoping for something a bit more substantial than an 'interactive splash zone' for the former Seaworld waterpark. An extension of the Castaway Bay themed area would have been great to see, with an addition of a family friendly flat ride. A solid all ages flat ride is something Seaworld is sorely missing.

Something along the lines of a Mack rides Sea Storm, Gerstlauer Polyp, or what about bring back a classic and install a HUSS Pirate Ship. Or perhaps an observation type ride, with a bit of a twist - e.g. the Vekoma Sky Shuttle.

So open in September...  School holidays is in less than 2 weeks...  They end October...

Also just saw on their Twitter that the Today Show will be live from Sea World on Friday...  I wonder...

Not any more, they are going to be live from Wet n Wild instead. Probably because of the massive amount of backlash the show received on social media for visiting the park.

The show is being recorded live from SW but they will be doing a live cross to WnW for the weather. I saw a post on WnW's Facebook page earlier today about looking for people to be at WnW for the live cross.
