Sadly I never got to watch the show and now I never will.

Isn't this like the 3rd consecutive iteration of a Light Horse show anyway?

Its the 2nd and the first was 2009 so hardly consecutive. 

I've seen it 3 times, whereas I saw the previous show too many times to count!

I'm really hoping that after 30th November either High Country Legends will return in all its glory, or a brand new show will start that's just as good (can't imagine it being even better)!

Salute to the Light Horse is still High Country Legends. It's just the STTLH Special. I saw HCL before STTLH and they are the same show except a small part in the middle of the show was changed to be about the Light Horse. The rest of the show is still all the same as the normal HCL show.

Theres actually 5 scenes cut from the High Country Legends show, 2 entire characters/leads and several other sections shortened to accomodate The Salute to the Light Horse in the High Country special show. The circus scene that features in both was also highly modified.

 

So there is quite a bit different in them.

Some of the best bits have been truncated to squeeze in the army part.

I do understand the reasoning. Just really sad to see the show not as good overall as it was.

Push different is not necessarily 'not as good'. The Light Horse segment is the best reviewed part of any show AOS has ever done in 12 years, so it's hard to say it's not as good. 

My feeling is you will be happy come December 1st...

Yep. Fair enough.

Don't get me wrong though. The army part was done very very well, and does have its rightful place this year absolutely.

I just personally enjoyed High Country Legends more, that's all!

As someone that has only seen each show once, nothing looked different except for the middle. That's not saying that there wasn't other stuff changed but from a guests point of view it only looked like they changed the middle to add the Light Hose part.

High Country Legends is returning due to popular demand on December 1

I just hope I can somehow keep my finances under control and not see this every time it's on!

I'm certainly going to see it very soon though, that's for sure. 

According to their Facebook page, it now ends on 28th November. 

1 week till High Country Legends returns. Can't wait!
