@HussRainbow87 why do Huss rides have such huge OTSRs?

Does the vortex have a fast pass queue? It’s not available for VQ on the Seaworld app yet.

It seems to have been built with VQ/FT in mind.

At the moment it doesn’t really need it with such a short cycle and 40 per cycle capacity.

Not too sure, but they’ve actually been redesigned. As you can see in the image, Talocan has those large shoulder pieces, I think I remember them being comfortable but the ones on Vortex are great. 
The original Top Spins have different ones again and have the bar as a secondary. HUSS Park Attractions aren’t exactly the original HUSS Maschinenfabrik, after the insolvency, the company today basically just used the HUSS name, the build quality is still on par, but they’ll never make a travelling ride again. I don’t even think they offer parts for Break Dance’s anymore, not 100% but they did supply all new gears and bolts for our Rainbow that is being refurbished, so not too sure what they actually do for the existing Maschinenfabrik machines. SAD is a German company that refurbishes and provides parts for many HUSS rides, including redesigned crosses for the Break Dances that are approved by TUV

Just seems weird that they have gone to the effort of redesigning but they haven't shifted to vest restraints like every other manufacturer.

KMG and Zamperla don't use vest style restraints.

I checked this out yesterday afternoon.

Basically no wait aside from the cleaning between cycles.

The carvings and sculpts in the area look very sleek and high quality, but maybe the area is a little too modern and vanilla. If they were going for new Atlantis, it would have been cool if it had remnants of the old Atlantis that had been built over and modernised.

The landscaping looks good.

Not big on the bins.

Lots of water everywhere, on the walls around the ride, but also at the queue near the head of the queue where you enter the ride the ride envelope, which actually causes a bit of overspray.

The cycle is okay, but too short....It needs about one extra full revolution and a couple times where it stops and has you swinging to feel truly rounded out.

By and large this will never have more than a two cycle wait, so they should not be afraid to run a longer programme.

Not all fountains are in use, you can see silver/black holes in the pool floor for extra jets (much easier to see when riding looking down, this photo aint great)

This place will be seagull city.

They should add the brushes seen on a soldiers helmet but do it with bird spikes.

Yep they are from kmart $7.00 

 

i forgot to get a more up close photo of this but they have replaced those cheap Kmart storage bins with a more permanent solution

Honestly the kmart boxes were a tripping hazard too. I saw a few people stumble over them

Trident Earthworks underway

Trident parts can be seen from the pathway to JR

I really wish they would put some form of screening to hide this stuff

And surely they could come up with a better way to close the area off when Vortex is under maintenance

TBH, I like the look of The New Atlantis. Sure, it doesn't have much theming but if you just base it of asthetics, it looks pretty nice.

Ironic given there was a lot of hype around how themed the area would be when done.

Today I was there and it was actually working on leviathan. 

When does everyone think Leviathan will have to start testing by for it to actually open in Easter? Also does anyone have any news regarding if trident has started vertical construction yet?

I’d say mid February we will see testing begin. And vertical construction of trident hasn’t begun, but I’d expect it too by the end of the month

Was at SeaWorld two days ago and it was still sitting in pieces waiting to be assembled.

Large crane on site this morning 

Is it possible that the crane is for trident

The crane is there to help lift the huge amounts of public pressure to open by Easter.

crazy to think this may marks 3 years since the project was announced and only one ride has actually opened, 1 ride still isn’t even built yet and leviathan is half complete😧

If only they’d also included a worldwide pandemic into their plans…. sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches.. 

I’d also give them a little more credit than classifying Leviathan as being “half-complete”
