"Gone are the days of Giant Drops and roller coasters" ... what a load of crap! I hate it when journalists come out with sweeping statements like that. There have been so many claims about the end of traditional theme park rides over the years and the replacement with virtual reality attractions etc. it's never eventuated and it never well. I also don't buy the line "Dreamworld's Bob Tan is on the lookout for new attractions". No he isn't. It's Dreamworld we're talking about. As much as I'd love to think Dreamworld management would actually go to these theme park conventions overseas and consider purchasing a really decent new ride, I just don't see it happening. Village Roadshow on the other hand...
