  1. Updates for Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th - the end of QLD School Holidays. Note: next weeks update will be on Sunday as well. Comparison Shot 1 8th July - Roadside Shot 9th July - Not quite Roadside Shot Comparison Shot 2 First Hill/Bunny Hills Station Area Station Platform and the roof are being constructed. Roof is the steel framing visible in the left of the photo. Track and Storage Lot Three track pieces on the road next to the first drop I'm guessing the pieces above are either for the station or the LED Joker face. Mystery Inc. The saga finally comes to an end. The support returns. Fence Lighting Wiring is clearly visible on almost every post now. I'd say the fence toppers aren't too far away.

  2. The ride is still equally as fun, and will get just as long queues. AW doesn't really have great deal of expansion space, so they do need to use land efficiently and group stuff together. Know the difference:. Sore: Saw:

  3. @Aw hype https://m.facebook.com/creativeworks.com.au i like the location I think it's cool for them to keep the big thrilling scary rides together and the horror themed rides together into a land. Also they now have loads of room at the front of the park for a lazy river in the future. They are removing the archway as it's firberglass and most liekely to avoid it getting damaged during construction. So it wouldn't cost much. @ABYSS Mark did say a while ago that they wouldn't rebuild the castle as it would have to be bigger and better if they did. Now if AW keep doing MI's I believe we will see mi4 be a water attraction as they always go dry then water ride.

  4. This afternoons update. Seems this weeks progress has mainly been the delivery of parts and construction of the station. Plenty of really large supports have arrived for the lift hill, as well as a few pieces of track. Supports for the final turn back to the station are in place Station is coming along nicely And few more parts around

  6. Was talking to Aunty Di (Corroboree Staff) and she was talking to me about all of the features they are adding and how there will be more Torres Strait Islander References, also that a fair bit of the designing has already been finished, with the Corroboree staff all designing it together. Trust Me its going to be Awesome!!

  7. They were probably just told over the phone, "just close the Ride" and just said whatever they wanted to say.

  10. Hehe the arch support reminds me of a similar situation where a creek needed to be bridged on Great Bear at Hersheypark.

  11. You certainly get a good view of the ride construction from the highway. Sorry its a little blurry.

  12. Actually, there was no power outage today, but the park did stop all rides because Energex did a Controlled Power test witch lasted approx. 3 Minutes, so no need to freak out!

  13. I believe that will be the case with the Express, seeing there is a bunch of big generators on the track and I believe the TOT should be open by tomorrow!

  14. Here's my first update after getting back from my trip. Wow, it does look awesome, and standing right under the loop and first drop really shows how height these are, because photos don't really show it. Something I noticed, which I don't think have been posted about, is the supports for the first drop are now all in place, just the tracks to be installed, and you can really get a sense of how steep it will be now. Plenty of progress for the station too, which seems to have progress quickly. Few more parts have arrived in the carpark and still a few supports for the lift hill. And here's some of photos of the loop And how the first drop supports looks with the surrounding rides

  15. New Month, New Update. 1st of July 2017. Thanks for all the compliments on last week's update! Comparison Shot 1 Should be able to see the first drop and hill through the NIL over the next two months (Not the best photo this week - but for consistency I've posted it anyway) Comparison Shot 2 Station/Brake Run @AlexB Turns out they're using the scaffolding for the Maintenance Building. - but that's basically the same as the station, so we'll just say you were correct Friction Wheels have been installed in the Track Switch/Station area. (As seen in the photos above and below) First Drop/First Hill First Drop supports continuing from the main structure have been erected. As seen above. They have been erecting most of the supports for the first hill + returning bunny hills. (Viewing the larger version of this photo makes support viewing easier!) For the first drop the supports are just below/equal to the ground level of the road. Meaning that the train/bottom of the first drop is going to reach ground level (or just below it). Random and just because I love how the loop looks - here's another one of the same.

  18. That's not the entirety of Stage 2, it's the 'key feature'. (or that's what I'm calling it) Just like the humpy/Corroboree Theatre was the key feature of Stage 1. I'm hoping this "Future Lab" takes up the old Skylink station area. (oh and has a better name than Future Lab when it opens) Dreamworld works with the local and federal Government as well as Indigenous groups to design and develop everything within Corroboree.
