  1. Pics from today, Going to be my last time visiting this park until the Friday Passholders night.
  2. After coming across this article 2 days ago I thought I should share it with you guys on here. Maybe you've read it already or maybe you already know the relevant information but anyways... https://www.ausleisure.com.au/news/dreamworld-announced-topping-off-of-steel-taipan-rollercoaster/ Key takeaways from the article: - Late 2021 opening once electrical works, load station building, landscaping and commissioning have been completed. - Rollercoaster train set to see Australian shores in early July, with installation on the ride's track planned for early August. - "Fresh theme park attractions are important to the Gold Coast's visitor economy" It's exciting to see how quickly the ride is coming along with the next two months creeping with theming, landscaping and load station building works due to be completed, as well as the welcoming of the trains and its spinner. Almost entering the second half of the year, late 2021 isn't too far away now...
  3. Yes, The annual pass holders night is going to be next Friday instead, For those that are interested here is sledgehammers lighting package that flashed for the slightest second
  4. Something like this would be the PERFECT replacement for Arkham Asylum. It's well themed, and it's actually about movies in general rather than just being Superhero themed, something Movieworld needs desperately. It also looks like something the whole family can enjoy.
  5. It's affected many companies already. From my understand the Sydney Easter show was the major last event under the old scheme. The showman's guild is actively working on a solution with ALLARA
  6. So because I love bumping old threads so much, I just wanted to ask if there was anyone on this page that is part of the travelling fair community? I read an article about there being no insurance company left that will back the amusement industry for public liability. Has this started affecting any of the travelling shows yet, and what do you think will be the ultimate outcome? I am not a reporter or anything, I am just curious because I fear for an industry that I love so much. This is a link to just one article that I read. https://www.insurancebusinessmag.com/au/news/breaking-news/inability-to-obtain-insurance-forcing-ride-operators-to-close-shop-256473.aspx
  7. Good to see some of the details being finalised - shading, permanent queue ramps and rails, operator booths for each attraction, painting and backdrops. Its certainly not immersive but it's a substantial improvement and what was there before.
  8. Time to get back on topic I think…. This topic has gotten a bit side tracked 😁😁
  9. You were planning on visiting LPS for your birthday? Weird flex but ok.
  10. I kinda like how the reopening now lines up with my birthday.
  11. Maybe, It all depends at this time.
  12. What a brilliant attraction and absolutely perfect for a movie park! There are so many details and they are all spot on. This was built in the old Looney Tunes River / Ice Age show building. Waaay better use of the space than a kids driving school and storage shed!
  13. Thats actually a brilliant ride. It doesnt require any one IP- as you said its Movie related which is what our Movie World is in desperate need of!! Love the concept this would be an absolute winner!! Its an Intamin which is quality and the theming throughout looks excellent without being prohibitively expensive!! This is so new that RCDB still lists it as under construction!! Buy the rights and build a clone now!!
  14. Storm Coaster is going under maintenance again for 2 months. Hopefully this means it is the end of summer maintenance for the ride.
  15. The quality and professionalism of the Parkz articles over the last decade plus speak for themselves. I think you’re confusing the community who use the site to express their opinions and fandom with Parkz itself. You’re essentially confusing “why didn’t they invite news.com.au” with “why didn’t they invite everyone from news.com.au’s comment section.”
  16. What i like that i saw in the documentary’s trailer is how they seem to have rebuilt the ghost train to reenact what went down on that night, Can't wait to watch tonight.
  17. I can confirm to you that DC Rivals has one, I think? doomsday had one but i have not been to movie world since 2018 so i really don't know other than DC Rivals
