  1. Its kind of like this. The train is overlaunched slightly because it starts coasting on the flat and losing speed before it even gets to the overbank. Next launch has to be enough to get it to the top of the spike but since most of the train on the spike is below the overbank level, it would still be slower, i would estimate 70 or 80. Final launch gets it to 105 in the bank of LSMs, would coast and lose speed to 100 before entering the overbank and then the rest of the layout is on spec.
  2. ok fine ill be more accurate lol DW, put this in the physics excursion worksheet
  3. Seeing how he wants an "arousement" from you, maybe you will come
  4. The production isn't at a @Slicklevel but I don't think it needs to be for what they are doing here.
  5. @Gazza You have captured life in one picture. Train driver wishing woman on platform will sit up front with him. Woman pays no attention to Train driver. Man hopes he gets to sit up front with train driver. Well, my life anyway.
  6. Just pull a Eureka and pretend it doesn't exist for 10 years... Oh wait, they already did that with Buzzsaw
  7. Often fasteners are specifically excluded from the contract and the buyer must source ones of the correct spec. (Or the manufacturer might include them as an optional extra cost) The manufacturer is inspecting the ride anyway so there shouldn't be issues of the wrong ones being used. Fun Fact: When you buy a water slide they don't come with supports.
  8. Good to know it's going down for maintenance afterwards. Maybe they can get it back up and running for this time next year so they can announce it retiring again
  9. If we're lucky, it'll have a spinning seat too.
  10. As much as I hate seeing ride counts declining, I won't miss Buzzsaw. It was always that ride you just kind of did cause you we're at that part of the park and there was guaranteed no wait. I hope it's removal represents a departure from Dreamworld's era of cheap thrills.
  11. Great news! It's exciting to know that there's an Olympics that I'll actually be able to remember this time around. I wouldn't be surprised if the local and even federal government committed some cash into promoting tourism both around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The World's Fair saw some big additions to the area, so I'm sure the Olympics will be no exception. However If there was ever a time for an international operator to get involved with a project in Australia, now would be the time. It'll bring a lot of international tourism and attention to our quant corner of the world!
  12. Provided that literally nothing has been changed externally to Boomerang's ride vehicles other than some decals I'm going to say it'll be the same deal for Big Dipper. Maybe a decal or two on the lead car, but nothing much else. Hopefully Intamin have a generic version of the ride vehicle with an alternative wheel bogie cover because I would say with the one seen in the animations looks quite dumb and out of place for LPS.
  13. Given that Big Dipper is moving ahead so quickly, and that everything that has been put in place so far has virtually mirrored the concept artwork initially shown, who is betting that Big Dippers train and cars will be exactly what has been already shown? The cars and trains on the animation looked exactly like the generic trains from the Hot Racer concept videos from Intamin when they were released. Do we think that the trains will be generic or do you think that there will be some local and unique theming added to make them Luna Park specific?
  14. Welcome back Skeet @New display name btw....it's been a long absence!
  15. Awww look at that attention to detail. I thought thoosies loved that sorta thing
  16. No you're thinking of Paradise Country
  17. I think you will find it to be more like this.ðŸĪŠ
  18. Fun fact: depending on height and length from slide towers, supports cost more than the actual fibreglass itself.
  19. The thing with ST too is that only has 1/3 of the track covered by LSMs compared the original, so the duration of each launch will be shorter, but just as sharp.
  20. This testing launch is not a good reference to use on how ST will launch. ST will pull a higher G-Force than Bluefire pulls on the initial launch and ST will reach a higher speed than Bluefire reaches after the 3rd launch.
