^C'mon people are entitled to their own preferences. This thread is worth doing periodically to add new coasters, re-assess improvement to existing ones (Arkham has improved with the new restraints etc), and that people may have ridden more Oz coasters (like me). Jet Rescue by the length of straight. I can't believe Intamin made such a fun coaster and such a bomb (maybe DW insisted it be boring). DW could have built a much better attraction with the money they spent, no matter what demographic they wanted to appeal to. Jet Rescue, as others have observed, is lower to the ground heightening the sensation of speed. I also really like the sudden, quick overbanks, it's a fun element (works really well for Maverick too). In contrast, Mick Doohan's Slumber Coaster doesn't have those overbanks and just ambles along a very boring circuit.

I forgot to add: "...killing machine...dealier than the thousands of Great Whites that inhabit the Gold Coast canals".

Headline that wouldn't surpise me: Malicious Murder Machine Foiled By Emergency Services Dozens of people barely escaped with their lives after being lured into Arkham Asylum where they were unknowingly strapped into a killing machine... Seriously, it's getting that ridiculous.

^It was wonderful to have a look inside. There looked like enough floor space under the coaster for another ride lol. I wonder if Scooby is on the Star Tour itinerary at the moment with all the deconstruction. Though you don't really go near the dark ride part.

I guess this is a subjective assessment, but their best 3 coasters are preferable to anything that Dreamworld currently has. Trying to say that I'd settle for a coaster less crap than the one's DW currently has.

Hope they get a refund for the VR lol. I've walked up and down those lift hill stairs, not very scary. They're getting a part Star Tour for free lol. Problem is the perception of safety is very negative among those less knowledgeable about amusement parks at the moment. And this beat up doesn't help.

^I hear you, Zaturn - for some reason I had Zaturn mixed up with another similar coaster with inversions in Japan. Though it's all academic, I doubt any park down here would buy them, just wishful thinking. Venus looks like it has a tasty layout. I'm happy if any Australian park gets anything decent. Vietnam got that defunct B & M from Hard Rock Park, though it was certainly a lesser Beemer.

You'll be able to add Space World in Japan to the defunct park list soon, whether it will be left idle remains to be seen. There's some pretty good coasters there that might go for a steal.

^I hear you. I was taken aback by how huge the tract of land devoted to this beast is when I saw it with my own eyes. I went over the Harbour Bridge every day to work and watched what was relocated to Dreamworld as Cyclone go up at Luna Park. Shame it was an ordinary coaster, but it was fascinating to see the progress of the coaster every day from start to completion.

I wonder how Dreamworld competes with this if they survive longer term. Space World in Japan has closed and there's some pretty good coasters in that park that could do with a move south. So excited about the new fence developments, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. And that curiously placed footer in the carpark fascinates me.

^Well coke is booming in Sydney, though I spend a fortune on cleaners washing up my bathroom after removing limbs off errant dealers with a chainsaw.

I can say with absolute certainty that the track will arrive before September. You can chisel that on a stone tablet.

^Yeah that UTT was particularly striking in the kid's area. I did the American Horror Story at Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood last year. I've never seen an episode so the maze didn't resonate for me like it might have for some. I'm unclear whether it's been done before by MW (not counting that little Halloween hut near Super last year), but the Halloween Horror Nights Michael Myers Halloween mazes I've done (3 of them, actually 4 if I count Frightdome) were all sensational and they're not effects heavy or have exotic sets so it would be easily doable for MW.

Looks like fun, I'm down for this. As others have observed, a bit of an incongruous fit for a water park, but what the hey, they have a rollercoaster too lol.

^LOL this coaster is going to be a real traffic stopper. Imagine seeing this new beast from the highway? Also I'd love it if they do projections on the lift hill like they do on Millennium Force, that would be spectacular.

^Poor coaster nerds, no new spank bank material. They'll have to imagine the ride in RCT etc. I know one person who's been on Flash at Lewa, and it didn't make their top ten. I hope the MW custom layout elevates it well above Flash (at least in quality, if not height). In any case it should be great, we'll see as to what degree of greatness.

The Purge, though I hear you can experience that in Logan on a Saturday night for free (sorry, I never hear good things). In all seriousness, I concur on Mad Max - that would be awesome theming for just about anything not a children's ride. I liked Van Helsing as a theme at Movie Park Germany, even though the movie blew, plenty of interesting possibilities with that one - they might even be able to get the IP cheap from Universal as it was hardly the franchise they were hoping for.

Beware the swamp, it's going to sink like Magnum XL-200. Any sharp-eyed fanboys spot anything of note in the last few days?

^Yeah we got some amazing rides on Vortex during an ERT session at night. The cars were still swinging wildly even when they had stopped at the break run. Hope you didn't swallow too many bugs on Millie lol, we got smashed.

^Did you get a ride on Vortex at night when it's absolutely insane? I had amazing nights rides on that one back in 2008.

They're changing it to Scooby Poo, because it looks like shit. Really surprised by what's happened, but I guess no one is taking any chances with safety or the perception of safety now (and being in between a rock and a hard place in peak season). It's a real shame, the Ghost train part adds so much to the ride.
