  1. I can't see the whole track being fabricated here. Parts of it maybe but not the whole track. Whenever I have steel fabricated for a job it’s the company that did the work that installs it. We have already seen a tender go out to assemble the track so whoever built it will not be putting it together.
  2. Sorry for the confusion but the drinking photo was from last week and was not with the caption.
  3. I would say because the Gold Coast hasn’t had much rain during the earthworks and pouring of the footings the site is ahead of schedule and this has left time to kill before the next stage. My theory only but when the civil team handed the site back to alder constructions they thought “Shit we still have 2 months before the track arrives why don’t we put the fence up now”. (Just thoughts)
  4. I think a lot of us would be in the same boat. I only purchased my wife a pass this year so she could drop me off and come inside to grab my belongings. She will leave and go and do whatever chicks do and I don’t have to pay for a locker. The hardest thing about being a lone-rider is you have nobody to hold your gear. The best thing is I get to go to fright nights 2 times.
  5. UPDATE "Things inside and out are coming along nicely. Sadly we will miss our projected opening date of #australiaday but never fear we will be shredding together as soon." Less drinking and more working might have helped get it open on time.
  6. It has nothing about being a theme park enthusiasts for me. My partner has no interest in theme parks and it's why I spend most of my time at parks alone. This is the time of the year that I must shine. I’m just weighing up my options for the best outcome for me.
  7. Sounds like you have some experience with alcohol smuggling.
  8. I believe this will be the general direction everybody will hit the balls every time somebody walks past.
  9. The problem I have with these types of offers is my wife doesn't drink alcohol. It’s great because I always have a driver but I don’t think it would be fun for her watching me get shit-face all the while trying to down $100.00 worth of soft drink.
  10. ^ I have kept that in mind. If I hadn’t got my tickets for free, I would have felt ripped off. DW offerings blew all Village 3 parks away this year. With what SW had to offer they would have been better off turning it into a pool party at WnW. Let us face it, Village have no idea on how to deal with large crowds & make those people leave feeling happy.
  11. $175.00 per person adds up quick. I wonder if my wife would pay for herself.
  12. LOL that funny. The scores don't lie. Looks like RRRC is my winner after all. But wait! I also gave 1 point to EOM for fitting into the kids area better. Looks like we are back to a draw. “Much more thinking is required to separate. I winner must be had.” (Make sure you read the last bit in a Yoda voice otherwise it doesn’t make sense. I did the voice as I typed).
  13. Road runner rollercoaster Escape from Madagascar Theming 10/10 9/10 Speed 10/10 9/10 Height 9/10 10/10 Layout 9/10 9/10 Train 9/10 10/10 Capacity 10/10 9/10 Re-ride 9/10 09/10 I have it as a draw. I don’t think the theming of RRRC is that good that it KO’s EFM in the first round. RRRC carries the speed better throughout the ride. Even it both rides were the same height I think EFM would feel higher just because it’s easier to spot the ground. I think skater trains are ugly. I don’t ever re-ride any of them. MW might theme a ride better but until DD came along I would say DW themes a whole area better. I think the theming of DW kid’s area ties better in with the ride. Because DW kids area just KO’d MW and I’m more likely to go into DW kid area in the first place, my vote will to go to EFM.
  14. Carnival was a massive fail for me. When it was first announced carnival was moving to SW, I got a little excited with all the possibilities. All SW have achieved is to mimic MW and take out what doesn’t work for SW. When you think of the possibilities of what SW could have incorporated into this event to make it their own, makes skeet’s blood boil a little. SW could have run the event in my backyard and you would have not known the difference.
  15. I'm calling you out on your list. MDMC is the most uncomfortable ride in Australia. Nobody would want to sit on this and have a tea party.
  16. The first one was a practice one to get all the cobwebs out. About time you recognised my greatness. I'm not much of a poll man but I do like a chat. I'm going to give my thoughts latter because this one has many reasons to be reasoned out in my head first.
  17. Jet Rescue was the first ride to make it into Parkz All Stars Aussie Theme Park. MDMC is the first ride turned into paperclips. Next battle: Escape from Madagascar vs. Road Runner Rollercoaster. Time to see which one will be left standing and which one will be turned into dust. If anybody has any ideas of battles they what to see, you can send me a message and I will start a new one each Monday.
  18. No! The red bottom starts the countdown for self-detonation.
  19. Does any other ride in Australia have this type of control booth? (images taken from flash hyper)
  20. @Original I don't think you can blame it on MDMC on being the first one. I would blame it on DW’s penny pinching policy. They brought a family ride and tried to sell it off as a thrill ride. For a kid first coaster, it’s a great ride. Something to build up a kid’s confidence.
