  1. DW management have previously said they are not looking at building a Lazy River because blah, blah, blah, DW likes to have unique experiences, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, something like that. Imagine WWW not having a wave pool because down the road had one and you only wanted to install unique experiences. I say: Sometimes experiences are good enough to do your own take on them, even if the enemy have one. What slide is better than a Lazy River that caters for the whole family?
  2. I agree, a price increase is overdue for DW.
  3. A bit hard to have a EOFY sale for WWW when WWW will be closed.
  4. Do you have a reason @Ash? I always knew Rivertown would come with a gate price increase, but I don't know why WWW should get one.
  5. TS & kFF downtime doesn't look like annual maintenance.
  6. @Brad2912I agree. People definitely ride it for the first time, not knowing what they are in for, where for me, JR looks more intimidating. @Levioperations of JR is world class but DW needs to come up better solution for loose items boxes. I have never witnessed a staff member sliding the doors.
  7. I'm starting to believe JR missed the mark with the attended audience. The few times I have visited JR, I have noted, the trains are almost full of adults. Where have all the kids gone who should be riding the family attractions? In comparison to Scooby, the make-up of the guest in the queue is different. I'm wondering if the realism of the theming is scaring kids off or is it children seeing the external section of the ride causing them to have second thoughts. The 9 times I have queued for JR I have seen families retreating out of the queue. The old chicken gate would come in handy here. It's something that might change in the future as more kids ride JR and they realise what a great little ride it is. This just been my experience while riding it.
  8. In theory you might be able to straight line the track after the station, but the queue could be an issue to solve.
  9. Zero effort put into Carnival 2025 Only change for 2025 are the upgrades price increase. 2023 2024
  10. Because nobody believes they spent $100m. Village could build the hotel but all I am saying is, Village getting a DA for the hotel, doesn't guarantee Village wanted to build the hotel. Village also have currency period of six years before the DA lapses or Village request an extension.
  11. Or you just pay the council a small fee for an extension. The DA approval for the cabins has undergone multiple extensions.
  12. The DA approval for a new hotel, doesn't confirm Village want to spend $300 million on a hotel. What we do know is a private equity group purchased Village and if we know private equity groups, one day they will want to offload Village for a profit. Having a DA like a major hotel in place at sale, is one way to raise the value of Village. Village have had a DA in place forever for cabins at PC, and the most Village have invested into Farmstay is some tents.
  13. Is the Teal Twirler a new political party? 😉
  14. I found the queue for JR hot and stuffy too @Sammus77 The only cooling I have seen in the queue are the Bunnings fans, which only offer relief when you are under them.
  15. Poor old WWW, not even worth a map.
  16. @Narrayou missed out on a great ride. I think MM has turned out to be the star attraction of Rivertown. You would be hard-pressed to find a better attraction of its type.
  17. I agree with your review. I found theming overall good but the indoor section underwhelming. I don't know if there is a story the ride is telling but if there is, it's very abstract. The queue was hot for me but it looked like maybe they were having some issues with how it works because 2 staff were carrying pedestal fans. As always the staff at DW are great. MM is a great addition but the roof of the cars continues to suck for me, plus I still don't see the point of the seatbelts because nobody checks them. As feared MM has the biggest queue in the park. I also found Rivertown doesn't feel connected to the river. Facade of the gift store looks cheap. I would say DW was reluctant to spend money on it with the limited life left in the Motocoaster. The JR merch in the store is garbage. It's the type of items I get for free at a work conference. Overall, really well done DW. Psssssss, hopefully DW already has some shaded seat to be placed by the river on backorder.
  18. The gaps of doom are still there? I thought they fixed them up.
  19. The only complants I've seen is people what more seating in the area.
