'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
New display name replied to Brad2912's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Ok stop right there. Skeet has now been show to be 100% wrong. Earthworks has nothing to do with new roller coaster. I am going to be out on site most of the day and I need a computer to open the files up correctly. I'm looking at people like Alex, Brad and Richard to to go to skeeta's source and reveal the great findings. Richind get your keyboard oiled up I feel another story coming on. -
In short DW is saying they have nothing major being built in 2016. If they had a major new ride then they would have something in place by now. It's not like a Bunnings and you can purchase this stuff of the shelf. If you look at the question being asked it goes something like this. Hi DW,. MW are getting something kickass next year. Are you getting something kickass too? DW because they have nothing planned but don't won't you to buy a pass to MV come back with the only thing they could say. DW could not promise anything because they have no kickass coming so they danced around the question.

Don't thank me yet, I don't think anything I have said has ever come about. Man I am screwing my post up today but this one is for Alex. I haven't solved the staff entrance problem yet but I am working on it The thing that makes me think MW has already solved this problem is the 3 applications where lodged on the same day. One of the applications was for admin buildings. -

Yes as in your case being residential it is hard to get a easement moved off your property because it is normally running through a lot of other people's land and if you had the money to move what ever was causing the easement for you then you would have to move it off everyone's land to divert it around your land. Being that if it is a stormwater easement it looks like it is at the end of the easement which would make it easier to relocate. The other thing that makes skeet think what ever they are doing with the earthworks is major is the company that has lodge the application. For your easment you may want to look up the QDC for the rules on easements. The QDC took this off councils this year and I believe under the QDC you can now build up to your easement. Getting back to MW easement you will find commercial buildings encroach easements a lot. If you think of Brisbane city and all of the services that would run under the buildings, I think you might understand what I am trying to spit out. Im not saying it is getting built in that area it is just my thoughts 101 on where it could go. Another thing to add is the entrance already goes over the easement. Last thing to add (gosh I'm a dick) is if for some reason is MV where not allowed to build over it then it could be used as a street along that line through the new area. sorry this post was for Brad, you would think after all these years I could quote -

Given it leads to a sub station it could be power into MV. One thing I forgot to mention is I can't find my storm water plans so it might be storm water. No the council does not lease that land to MV. This image is from the G.C.C.C. website. At some stage Village must have gone to the titles office and got all the different properties amalgamated onto one title. I don’t have the time to look it up but you can do a search for older titles that might show it was once council land but I don’t know if it ever was. -

I did not draw on the plan. The green area is an overlay from The Department of Natural Resources and Mines. The info tab on it telsl me it is an easement but I do not know what is in the easement. I will pull up some records to see what is under the ground there. Table Red = Boundaries Blue = Water Green = Sewer Yellow = Roads So by my drawings it only leaves one thing it could be which is power. -

That land is all owned by Movie World. The blue arrow pointing to the yellow line indicates the boundary line. The red arrow pointing to the green area is an easement. The easement is on MW property. The boundary lines shown, I have taken form The Department of Natural Resources and Mines. -

Skeetafly theory 101. Existing overflow carpark changed to a permanent carpark. (Makes sense to be relating to the area size that I have been talking about). Movie World extending out somewhere near where push indicated. (This is logical to me because this area has a water source to create a lake) I just want to state 99.9% of the time I am wrong and if you ask my wife it’s more like 100%. -

I do not know but Brad is right, I think it was killed off a long time ago. Also if something was going outside of the park, I would of thought we would see a MCU application for it. Just to add to my earlier info I found. The prices MW paid for the OPW would indicate that. Earthworks size = 1001m2 to 5000m2 The tree removal is linked to another application. (what that application is, I do not know) "Tree works linked to a development application, includes vegetation management plan and fauna management plan when the MCU/ROL requires these plans to be submitted in conjunction with Tree Works application." -

Interesting indeed. We did roughly work out that the OPW application cost of work was a lot. My investigations so far makes me think the large cost of works for ground level changes could be for a new lake. To me the new attraction early works would be for the roller coaster. The entertainment precinct could be a whole new themed area. More digging to be done lol. I do also remember somewhere at some time and correct me if I am wrong but MV where looking at doing a different precinct to the park,. something like at the front of disney that never ended up happening. Just read the approvals again and it's not 1 but 2 new precincts. To break it down what we know. 1. New Roller Coaster 2. Lots of earthworks 3. New attraction which might be talking about new roller coaster or could be an extra attraction. 4. New entertainment precinct. 5. New lake precinct. 6. Carpark changes 7. Amenity building changes or new buildings. -

I would say that it is not part of the new attraction at this stage, but not for your reasons. The approval for the roller coaster was a BA not a DA but a DA would be included under the BA. The BA that you are talking about is the final process before you can build something. An OPW is always done separately to a BA. OPW are completed by the council where the DA is completed by a private certifier. Within the council PD online system it would not show that it is for the same job. The same thing goes for a MCU. If an OPW was required for this job then under normal practice it would have to be completed before a BA was issued because if one was required then the private certifier would require a copy of it before they could sign off on the job. An OPW covers things like tree removal and changing levels of a site which most of the time is covered under a building approval unless they are moving a crap load of soil. For example if you built a house and had to remove some trees to do it you would not have lodge a OPW because under the code you can most of the time remove trees as of right within a distance of the new dwelling. You would have to get an OPW if the dwelling was existing and you wanted to remove trees at a later date. Another example would be my old faithful The Coomera Town Centre. The centre approval had a clause in it that work could not begin work before someone paid for the new road network, to sum it up. The Coomera Centre wanted to start some work before this was finalised. They lodged an OPW so they could start to remove the trees even thou the BA said they could not start. The Coomera Town Centre lodged the OPW to at least get the block cleared, probably thinking working with the Queensland government would take forever and they wanted to get a head start. We had a change of government and it ended up getting sorted quickly in the end. I know you already understand what I am saying but I just went into a little detail so others who aren’t as clued up as you to the process might understand my ramblings. -
Ok DW here is the deal. Get every guest of your park to sign this petition to stop the Skyscraper (roller coaster) being built. Make sure you get them to select the “I do not support the building of SKYPLEX Orlando.” You will need to do this for a while until all parks in the USA give up on ever building this ride. This is the kicker part. Intamin will have a ride that no one will buy. DW can come in and make an offer for it, example of this would be mate’s rates. I also have overheard that they will take some Heintaler Ribel Mais for payment. http://www.pixelsattheparks.com/skyplex/ “SKYSCRAPER” for Australia. Seems to be petition for everything these days so I wonder how DW would receive a petition to give us a woody.

Blocking is a waste of time on this site. If I block and you can read my post but your post are hidden from me. Blocking only works for me if it stopped the person you blocked from reading your post. My example is- I make a post which allows you to read it. You reply to my post but it is not shown to me. You might say something that is not correct but I cannot add to what you said because if I want to see your post I have to select show post. Which defeats the purpose of blocking you in the first place. As you can see I have blocked you but you can still comment and vice versa on the post.

I'd always been fascinated by people who allow themselves to be so rude and hostile, but usually you can sense there's something vulnerable beneath them - a shield they use to protect that vulnerable side. Finally, when they expose that soft spot, it's kind of touching. Sorry I just had to add something. AlexB is saying if you can't put words on paper then you are good for nothing and you should never get a job. I don't think Dreamworld ask you to write a essay to get a job. I'm not the best at putting things on paper either but look at me, I do very well for myself. If you are going for a summer jobs at DW then they get so many applications that most people don't hear back from them.

2 problems I have with ride. Number 1. It would look dirty very quickly. Any grease flicking off the ride would have a larger surface to hit instead of falling through the tracks. No 2. Is things falling on the track are more likely to cause problems. On a tube track if someone drops something while riding it falls through the track but if something is dropped then there is a chance the track could catch it. Dirt, leaves, sticks and grease are more likely to stay on the track then a tube type track. -

To add to this- The scale and built form of development within this precinct must address the relationship and proximity to surrounding residential communities. Any development within this precinct will contribute to and enhance the access network within and to adjoining precincts and suburbs. -

Stuff the family. There is always a need for more Roller Coasters. Family rides are great to ride once but get boring pretty fast. The world always needs more roller coasters and I want one that makes me poop a bit. -
