The problem with that is that the ground level parking would be the closest, most convenient. If people don't care about it being hot, or just start their car and blast the air con for a few minutes before getting in, there's really no incentive to go underground unless the free lot is full. If you go underground, you spend more time circling the lot to find a space, and then you have to wait for a lift, or climb stairs to get back to ground level. If anything - the ground level should have shade sails or similar to keep cars cool, and then it should be used as a valet \ convenient option. if you're going to have a free option - it should be further away - longer walk, etc.

Fair enough. I did check their WEBSITE and while it listed a skyway \ chairlift type attraction, it didn't list a monorail, so i assumed. Nevermind - that probably explains a lot.

I call bullshit - there are no monorails, and there are far too many non-walkthrough attractions.

Considering the efforts the studio goes to to operate the tank, and the popularity it has with all levels of productions, they'd be nuts to get rid of it for a driving range, and TBH - there aren't many other nice flat places close to the sort of power they need near those things to relocate it to, without further limiting their options elsewhere. Personally, I could see them utilising the tank for some other recreational \ entertainment function to further capture and add to the nightlife - even if it were just one of those inflatable water play zones like they have up at coolum for the summer months... i'm sure they could find some WnW lifeguards to staff it after hours (since WnW closes early).... Good find @Brad2912, its great that the images are finally public so we can now talk freely about certain aspects without alternatives. I'll tip my hat to you, but also to the other person who shared these around privately a while back - they know who they are.

Somehow i just knew that foreign travel and theme park itineraries would pull @Gazza out of the shadows...

I know nothing about whats open seasonally, and have never been - but I would assume Disney Paris is open (*duh) and i'll always vote for a disney park on a trip itinerary. I can't judge having never been, but i'd go regardless of what some might say about it in comparison to others. A friend recently did Parc Asterix and had good things to say too.

lol. I doubt it - but Ocean Park had one for years. More likely the drone filming we've heard whisper about will 'tie in' to the air balloon idea, and the drone footage will be implied to be footage from the balloon. I do hope they don't get the drone shadow in shot though. Some of those i've seen are terrible.

I'd say a mix of the two. Nostalgia definitely ranks it for me with those two, and i do believe they were much more comfortable in their earlier days, but Bush Beast certainly had a reputation as a bone shaker (and not a good one) in it's final years. Having had an opportunity on several overseas, my comparison allows me to be more honest about those two.

Yeah couldn't think of any others. I've been to USH, and paid for valet, but never saw a multi deck there so wouldn't know. As for Disney, i've visited Downtown Disney in Anaheim and parked in a single level lot about 100 metres from the pedestrian plaza and don't recall paying anything - we were only there a couple hours though and i can't recall whether there was a 'first XX hours free' type thing.

Whilst Bush Beast (and everything at wonderland) has a particularly special place in my heart, If i'm being honest, I don't think you can use the words 'high quality' in describing it.

Agree on the GL sign. whoever came up with that really did something special. I must admit - when i first saw the ToT lights, i thought great - but as they didn't maintain them and they started doing funky things (probably bad ICs or something) - i'd have liked to have seen them matrix the LEDs so that they could do more than simple colour patterns - potentially could have turned it into a massive LED message scroller... but i digress. Agree if they stick to stock kebab shop settings it will be crap. I would hope that they are not dumb RGB strips (ie: the whole strip does the same thing) and they have the ability to create scroll \ chase patterns across the building - THAT would be good... if it is dumb strip, then I agree stock red \ yellow would be preferable.

Some theme parks do have multi story car parks. obviously, where the land is available, it's far cheaper to have a big sprawling ground-level lot though. the only multi deck parking structure i know of is Disney in california... and they have several.

I like the lighting touch - MW has a giant green billboard which really smacks you in the face as you drive down the highway. I have been houseboating on the broadwater at night and see the ToT lights, so I like them having something that will draw attention at night. The LED RGB strips are simple and effective - I just hope they maintain them. It's nice that they've added this kind of thing, and it will probably go really well if they keep up periodical night time trading.

First point - i'd like to pose another thread de-railing question. I've always considered that the plural of lego was lego. It always irked me when people would say 'legos' - and it seems like i'm not the only one thinking this way: link As for your question, I am very much looking forward to having a one-stop lego shop on my doorstep - my little guy turns 1 next week, and I'm counting the days until I can spend hours playing with his lego sets. Sadly Duplo isn't suitable until age 2, and most lego sets, not until age 5 or 6. Very glad to report an extensive Disney collection exists in the lego universe too. Ummm dude... Corkscrew was a Sea World attraction - i think you mean Thunderbolt. Also you forgot TRRR....

I'm thoroughly in agreeance with that. Many movies feature dancing dragons (see Rush Hour franchise for examples) so it would be a relatively easy tie in - drummers, pyro etc. I would have liked to have seen the theming updated for the relevant 'year' - in this case Rooster, instead of the generic lanterns and the "stone" lions - but its not currently a separate price for that so its nice that they do anything at all. Bit of a shame though that they don't do anything for Australia Day...

Don't disabled facilities these days have discharge drains and separate flushes for bag discharge? I've seen some where there is a showerhead on the wall with a hose so you can spray wherever you need in case your aim was bad...?

No they don't - especially since Dreamworld up the road now has Shrek's Faire Faire Away, inside the Dreamworks Experience - so neither of those ideas are going to work... We've discussed it before, but eveything has to be a coaster, because thats what increases attendance. Not a Disk'O Coaster, or a spaceshot, or a twin hammer... coasters bring them in. Of course, a park with nothing but coasters would be pretty boring (and totally awesome!!!) but thats just the way the public view things (and us, mostly us)... so most suggestions in this thread will probably be a coaster. that's life.

I had thought billboard too, but i think Magician is on the money. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some vinyl billboard style signage there for a while until the vines get established though.
