Lost Mine Mayhem - Rumours, theories, speculation and construction updates!
He means Rise of the Resistance, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and Mickey & Minie Runaway Railway I'm guessing. All examples that are not coasters. Conviently left out what most consider Disney's best ever dark ride, Pirates of the Carribean in Shanghai. Dark rides I will agree think do work really well with seperate load and unload for immersion i.e. Looney Tunes River Ride, but at the same time you could see people unloading from Bermuda and at the end of the day did it really break the immersion that much? And clearly it doesn't bother Disney that much since their latest Pirates ride doesn't feature it. Even some Disney coasters that feature seperate load and unload they're on top of each other, like Tron or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, so you can see from load the train coming in and unloading people, so unless they put a door in between the two, its not doing much for immersion and more so for capacity. My personal opinion, unless you're running more than two trains, keep one load and unload station, to keep operating costs down and speed up dispatch. Good point though @DaptoFunlandGuy , maybe with $20mill to spend this might be their chance to change up the design and get it right, time will tell though 🤷‍♂️ If this was Village your point wouldn't matter, last time I visited (although a long time ago), that was their loading procedure, wait till everyone has left the platform before letting a single soul step forward lol. Greg has mentioned getting loading times better, it is refreshing to hear.

Shit, someone better tell Disney to go back and create separate load and unload stations on some of their most immersive attractions! No, it’s not needed if you’re only using 2 trains, all it does is need extra staff to work the unload station, especially for the times when you only use one train, you just slow down operations, then as you can see with Jet Rescue, it has to park, unload, move forward, park again and the load and then needing staff to go between if you want to save staffing costs, again only slowing down operations. Running multiple trains to increase capacity? Sure! Two trains? Nope! I’d rather scrap one of those stations for a show room or something like a bounce track. That creates more immersion than separate load and unload platforms.

I do wonder, they really don't need a load and unload station... as shown with JR and ST... If one of these goes and they use the space to create either a show scene before the launch or at the ending? And if maybe they put in some sort of bounce or drop track because nearly $20 mill is a lot to spend and they're promising "surprising" elements, so doing something like that wouldn't surprise me... Plus if it is a "mine", then mines and drops kinda go hand in hand!

Dreamworld’s future new land
Well hey there is a young RMC up for sale in Arie Force One ;) I would also see love to see an Art Engineering wild swing come to Aus. And I think you can get away with a Mack Rockin' Tug because its on coaster track and is therefore a controlled environment and not free flowing. But the Intamin rapid with the half pip bowl like Amazonia with the drop track at the end looks awesome.

While I want to see dark ride at the park, not in the location please, its right on the water, I think the area should take advantage of that, like how Rivertown does, with the rides pushed to the back. I don't want to see a show building on the banks of the water, especially if the paddle steamer is to return someday. Just remember not only does the park have Easter Eggs to the paddle steamer, but Greg in one of the Dane podcast interview said they looked into bringing the paddle steamer back with the launch of Rivertown but instead went with the vintage cars relocation and glow up.

Dreamworld vs Pico Play court case
Might explain why the temple room hasn't been touched since Greg's interview with Dane about some big pieces were still to go in... But have yet to go in, and you can get an idea on what those pieces might be based on some of the concept art was released. Hopefully we can see some nice extra pieces added in the future soon.

Jungle Rush Coaster
I could be totally late to finding this and everyone already saw this. But slide 4 shows a concept of what they had for the turntable room, looks like water was going to be a big part in the concept, waterfalls on the outside, waterfalls in the turntable room turning off last minute and a queue that had a boardwalk going over water. https://earthstory.com.au/portfolio-dreamworld-jungle-rush.html#

Steel Taipan rises over Log Ride rubble at Dreamworld
No I said it’s not pitched as to let’s destroy an industry just before school holidays and then track their attendance figures just after and boast about how it was our story was the reason why they fell. That I can guarantee doesn’t happen. Do they often get facts wrong, or gloss over things to make you believe the viewpoint the author wants you to believe. Shit yes. If this story does that, then I will happily say yes they did. My only point is from the start there is a lot of upset people without even having watched this yet. It’s like how people judge a coaster before having even ridden it.

If they don't do the story correctly Sunday, I'm more than happy to call it out and say it was a bad job.

And I said in my first point I am surprised it took this long for a piece like this to be made. And again no programmer said let's do a shock piece and smash a struggling industry and then high five each other Monday in the boardroom. That's not how segments/content is pitched, its just not.

Let's just say I know how these things work.

Exactly my point, you just proved it for me. Accidents do occur more often in other areas so when it happens at a theme park, a place of fun, it shocks people, people don't expect it and therefore becomes a human interest story that someone will do a feature on.
