  1. From The Bulletin yesterday, speaking of working with world class IP’s such as IT and The Conjuring. Pretty sure the park capacity is a fair bit under 50000 however despite how busy FN can be…
  2. I honestly don’t recall them Pre purchased meals prior to 2019 but they definitely did then The top image is the “Survival Stack Nachos” that according to my email receipt was $20
  3. I feel there’s middle ground between a $499 Season Pass and a $99 one, the planned price for the 2021 event was $239 at the gate. Personally I wouldn’t hesitate to pay $300 but for $499 if the quality of the mazes/event is the same as 2019 it’s a rip off, and having to attend over 5 nights to break even I think will find few takers. 100% agree that the UTT was a large part of the event for so many. I doubt we will see any drastic increase in quality. They simply are betting (and IMHO it’s a fairly safe bet) that the majority of those that would pay for UTT will pay for one time FT instead. A UTT mid season in 2019 was $175, that’s only $26 more than a single entry to each maze/ride this year. Without an available paid unlimited option they can also sell more FT passes, same reason Fast Track during holidays is now once per ride. I would have liked to see a backstage, vip lounge add on even minus fast track personally or perhaps a UTT that simply has one FT entry to each maze. “The Conjuring Universe” is indeed the headline maze this year, in addition to another in house creation.
  4. Largest increase is the Season Pass being $499 from $99 initially in 2019 (increased to $150 mid season). I don’t have an issue with the pricing this year in general, if the event is capped at a fair number and maze lines are not excessive. Season Pricing does seem a bit too high however, you will have to attend all 5 peak nights and at least one off peak for it to make financial sense.
  5. Wasn’t the original plan for SurfRider to be a Pirate Ship replacement? I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all for it to be a filler attraction at SW, last I heard they intend to take it to MW however.
  6. https://themeparks.com.au/terms-and-conditions Now has a empty Fright Night Category at the very bottom, I think it would make sense to launch on a Friday (purely speculation) .
  7. Slight update to this, the location that previously stated 5 maze titles now states only the returning 3 mazes and two to be announced. Expect them to be "locked" initially as per previous years at first ticket release and announced later.
  8. Same image in the ticketing system for General Admission...
  9. Constrictor - Proudly presented by Coca-Cola
  10. So if you look hard enough VRTP's online presence has revealed the following... 5 Mazes (including their names) Zombieland, IT and Doll Haus returning 5 Precincts Operating Hours 6-11PM with rides concluding at 10pm Dates being all Fridays/Saturdays in October
  11. At least it didn't take them as long to share this as last time. Trident is also "soon". I think rising eventually would be more accurate at this point..
  12. For what it’s worth I believe the plan for FN 2021 was 5 mazes.. ticketing info stated as such. I agree that staff shortages will still be an issue, it was an ongoing issue with H4H and Covid/Influenza isnt going anywhere. I definitely see IT returning and hope for a new Halloween Maze.
  13. I'm cautiously optimistic, the concept art is good and some family coaster attractions with a lower height requirement is well welcomed. Would like to see some smaller kids/family rides to round out the area, or a show ideally.
  14. Closed gate, that's all. The area is still clear as it includes evacuation paths and staff access for Scooby and SE. As other's have stated I would hope the main entry from Main St is back/utilised, yellow brick road to Oz and all. I would like if the access from Superman is also kept and themed well, but wouldn't surprise me if they wish to keep funnelling people into Main St. I would love to see a high capacity boat or dark ride, and I guess you could fit something in the former que buildings/space but I honestly doubt it from VRTP at this point. Just because staff were only informed very recently doesn't mean it just happened, licensing agreements and new designs and concepts take time. It's a good "timeless" IP, if done well I can see it doing great and despite being a DC fan a move away is a good thing.
  15. Nope, Super-Villains never had access to Arkham. 3 previous access ways Via Superman Between Deli and The Bank (original Lethal Entrance) To the left of The Scooby Spooky castle.
  16. So the coasters are all but confirmed, but anyone else hoping we get more rides to help round out the new land? Even some more kids rides would be a good addition in my mind. Would be nice to have the whole Wizard of Oz gang characters be around for the area too.
  17. Are we now looking at a Wizard of Oz theme for Arkham’s replacements? Similar colour IMG_3215.MOV
  18. I was last at the park on Tuesday and the majority of the track was gone minus the lift hill and segments near the Tower that Batman used to occupy.
  19. Dreamworld Express has soft opened this afternoon.
  20. It clearly states it is a press release from Aussie World. Have to agree the headline is misleading.
  21. Can confirm I also heard “temperature issues” recently impacting Superman launches. I remember as a guest on days like @Spottymentioned the train would slow while coming around that corner. Then if needed sit until ready. At that point the “it’s Superman!” audio commenced and proceeded as usua.
  22. This seems to be at the discretion of the main operator for GL, sometimes they have allowed rerides. Used to always reride Lethal/Arkham back in the day and WWF prior to the station/boat changes. Have been successful with rerides at DW with Taipan, Gold Coaster, Tailspin and Drop.
