I can state categorically in my experience that is not the case, unless you are saying it’s unavailable simply because you waited until it had run out to try and utilise it and didn’t check back throughout the day when further availability opens. As a “free” physical que skip service it will always run out, especially during the holidays. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t available that day. Here’s a screenshot from earlier these school holidays.

Village do charge more for Single Use One Shot Fast Tracks via the app during peak periods but in general VQ remains available. It is an advertised ticket inclusion. Just need to jump on it at 10AM/when it starts. Ride availability is not guaranteed, but usually that is only impacted when the ride is not operating at full capacity. WWF was only filling up a maximum of 6 seats per boat on a visit earlier in the holidays and was not available on Virtual Que but everything else was (with varying availability throughout the day).

It’s metal. Ride was down most of today due to high winds, but when it opened up in the afternoon they were operating both sides.

I was there and nobody had to wait ages, that simple! Taipan also was only running one train and didn’t have a long wait either (although Tailwhip did). It’s called an opinion, this is a discussion forum, I’m welcome to mine as you are welcome to yours. I don’t think it was necessary on Opening Night, however if wait times are at 45m during the holidays I think they should. Giant Drop is apparently more popular than I expected it to be during these holidays and I said I didn’t have first hand knowledge 🤷‍♂️.

I disagree and likely so did the park. They wanted the focus on the side with the expensive new lights 🤷‍♂️ Outside of the thoosie community I doubt anyone cared that only one side was operating.

Marvin is down for unscheduled work, noticed it was down on Sunday afternoon while I was at the park. I feel it should really not be featured on the main page of Movie World's website as "NOW OPEN" if they are aware it will be closed currently.

In my opinion that would warrant having both sides operational, but yeah it definitely wasn't needed opening night.

It would have been nice for the ocean side to have been open for the opening night but ultimately the wait did not really demand both sides operating. I haven’t visited yet these school holidays but I doubt the demand for the ride requires it currently either. It makes more sense to always have one side operating consistently while the other is under maintenance.

The app also recently had a major update, so ensure you are running the latest version, failing that if it is an account based issue such as your ticket/pass not having a Virtual Que entitlement the best place to seek support is the ride photo booth. That is where they have access to App data/account information.

Also interesting it’s only operating between 11 and 3. Given how shoddy the sign is I wonder if that was a last min decision.

VQ is available during holiday periods, it just fills up extremely quickly. VQ is an advertised inclusion in your ticket/pass. At times they have removed rides when it is operating at reduced capacity, like Scooby just before it closed or when SE was running only one train during holidays.

On this note I was surprised on my last visit to Australia Zoo recently the Tiger show was performed without handlers in the enclosure. Anyone know if they are also moving to non-contact?

SE's new TV's do actually play the original que video and static timetable display! Hoping this stays the case. Worth noting Road Runner has reopened early from maintenance and Doomsday has been cycling.

Interesting that there is a difference on the main website vs app they chose to list it under current maintenance in the app.

To be specific since you decided to go this route management being too proud to admit the park made an error in judgement. Not anybody specifically.

My personal thoughts at this point are management are just too proud to admit they made a mistake with this ride/scrap it.

For what it’s worth they do 20% off 1 day tickets at the front gate (unadvertised) when there are this many rides down. Frankly the only time I think the park is worth the one day ticket cost is during the holiday events with extra entertainment (DC H&V, Hooray for Hollywood)

$9/$10 per month entry, depending on initial sign up. $12 per month entry and 1 entry each year to White Christmas, Carnivale and Fright Night, later purchases excluding Fright Night. $15 per month, as above + Wet n Wild Sydney access.

I have a friend that’s similar, may go a couple of times a year if that. I have no doubt VRTP have analysed membership pass usage closely and are well aware of the % of users that do not make frequent use of their pass. Considering the backlash I somewhat feel they would have been better off just terminating the membership program and offering the discounted One Pass rates. Possibly their agreement with DebitSuccess doesn’t allow this, no idea.

Could always be worse! We could be in 2007 where a 3 Park Pass with no events is $300. I think it’s a bit cheap of them to not give the normal renewal bonuses ($50 outback, $50 Animal Advemtures ect) considering they all require an additional spend.
