  1. This was an early December change Locals Annual Pass/Interstate Annual Pass > All Worlds Annual Same thing, just no post code restriction/same price for everybody. $10 price increase from previous locals pricing to $169 online (full price). Saver Annual Pass > Dreamworld Annual Pass Value Annual Pass no longer available There’s also the seasonal WWW pass @ $99 and Groupon has a $99 Dreamworld Annual with “Interstate Residents Only“ in their terms Approximately a week ago they introduced a “limited time offer” for Locals only at $124 Adults/$114 Kids for the All Worlds Pass.
  2. Current renewal annual pass advertising also mentions “new rides and attractions” Worth noting this was reviewed recently as it features the “All Worlds Pass” branding that was introduced in December.
  3. Very excited by this, definitely thought they would be operating it for a few more years. I'm firmly in the would like to see a water attraction or dark ride (ideally both) as what I want to see from the park. I'm confident they wouldn't be closing it without immediate plans for the area, it's not that old and they got new trains not that long ago IIRC. I'm not on the "easter eggs must mean the Captain Stuart is returning" but it was interesting to note they did that new boardwalk are part of the Rivertown initial works.
  4. Definitely appreciated and I may actually grab some things I otherwise wouldn’t have. I do feel it’s only because numbers are down both for the pass itself and general numbers this holiday period. Hopefully they look at making the f/b and merch discount a general one even if they put it down to 10%. For comparison the majority of staff only get 20% off merch at VRTP
  5. The TMNT have indeed been gone since Mid 2025. The TMNT costumes the park used appear to have been retired globally (no longer used anywhere). Based on how faded Patrick (SpongeBob) got until the park replaced the costume I would hazard a guess a set of 4 new TMNT costumes would have cost a pretty penny that the park didn’t want to spend. I don’t think the TMNT license expired as such, there’s still ride/theming/merch.
  6. $260 for same day purchases in park or on the app currently too. $45 for single fast track to the major rides. I really don’t blame the park for charging that much when people are willing to pay it, both the 6 Rides and Single use one shots sold out consistently yesterday.
  7. Had another few rides over the weekend, can confirm all the audio is louder. Disco room is not at the original levels but much more noticeable/better. Spinning ghoul didn’t spin on any of my rides, but everything else was functioning perfectly.
  8. Can’t be!, there’s a “guest experience specialist” now! I mean to be fair I did post on the first page of this thread Guest Services stated Scooby was not going to be open during White Christmas so I don’t know why anyone on Parkz expected it to be open. There is, and yes safety is a factor. The do still however use one still (Santa’s Sleigh).
  9. You’ve lost me here, unless you’re talking about the volume of the theme in the disco room. Sounds are largely original with a few additions by Mark Watson (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSMSF5LALBZ/?igsh=Zm95ZnU3anMxbmNv) Disco room and loose item storage aside I certainly feel it’s back to the original standard (initial dark ride section) and better (tiki room/drop). The negative reactions I’ve heard in person have been relating to the disco room and “it’s no different”. Remember they did advertise “thematic improvements” and that’s very much open to interpretation. It’s not unreasonable for the public to expect modern animatronics for example in my opinion. And they deserve the credit, it’s certainly a lot harder to do all that to an existing infrastructure than to simply build a new ride. Whilst I certinally appreciate the park made to call to retain the ride I don’t feel they deserve huge applause for this, nor a pass for the disco room being as it currently is simply due to the money/effort to do so. There’s some enthusiasts that seem to think the park should be celebrated for doing what was ultimately likely a smart business decision, 7 News originally reported a figure of 4million for the refurbishment, that’s a hell of a lot cheaper than a new equivalent ride.
  10. IMHO I wouldn’t call it a fully immersive dark ride with “Creative choice” of the former disco room currently. Hopefully the park realises the error of their ways here, a lot of comments online are negative regarding this in particular. The $$$$$$$ have been spent on the mechanical, and bringing the rest of the ride to the former glory, might as well spend a bit more and bring back this cherished part of the ride. I didn’t expect them to bring in expensive animatronics or other major theming elements, I knew the plan was to restore the opening standard as I posted back on the first page of this thread, but I also don’t blame the general public not being happy with the current state after almost 3 years.
  11. I did ask GS this on Saturday and they stated SDSC was not planned to operate during WC event nights. Surprised SE and Flash are operating tonight as they were not during last nights event.
  12. This was apparently the case with the VIP preview yesterday too, nobody was able to ride for over an hour at the start of the day. When the ride did open to the public just after 12PM it went down very quickly and was down until 2PM at which point they reopened the line exclusively for VIP and Team Members. The ride reopened for the public just after the parade finished around 3:45PM. Unless they have since changed their minds this is indeed the case, SDSC is not planned to operate during White Christmas.
  13. Had 4 rides yesterday. Agree that I was very happy with the dark ride section, a few minor things such as the rotating character not rotating but otherwise would consider it back to the OG opening standard. Former disco room is definitely a huge let down, would have been better if everything “next gen” was left in place there, I can’t imagine why it would have been a creative decision to leave it black. All the reasons mentioned above for safety, and it genuinely makes it much more scarier for kids. Tiki room, very happy with and I would say better than the original. Great to have the Scooby Animatronic back.
  14. Everyone’s different of course but I had no issue doing 3 rides back to back and a total of 6 before I left the park around 1:00PM. I incorrectly assumed the theming was largely complete but looking at Greg’s Instagram story they are still adding some more. Heard a “paging Mr Longhurst” announcement during the que too, a nice little touch.
  15. Good to have as a backup but the weather has held/they are using the usual location currently
  16. I could be wrong but I don't believe this has come to fruition, the turntable at load is there but I have never seen an accessible vehicle on the tracks (or next to it).
  17. Since when? Don't regularly visit but I believe it's only recently been mentioned on their website and terms and conditions. AOS and PC now also cashless with the following caveat in the website FAQ
  18. From these photos the only noticeable thing that has changed is the location of the screen and configuration of the que. Screen being in the centre of the room rather than the corner. Works both for the ride/que waiting and for private events.
  19. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a trial/they consider implementing it at their other parks too. I’ve noticed more “eftpos only” at Movie World than there was previously especially in Mobiles.
  20. Wet n Wild is now cashless as per the pop up on their website and the following in the ThemeParks.com.au T&Cs
  21. So day ticket pricing has fluctuated between $119-$99 over the past year with the higher prices being during holidays. This has always been a 12m ticket validity with purchase however not restricted to specific dates. I don’t think $99 is honestly value for money when half or more rides are shut/the experience offered generally outside of school holidays. I don’t see them doing it but it should be even cheaper if that’s what’s on offer.
  22. The One Pass branding is no more, one day tickets for MW/SW/WNW are now date specific and go as high as $139 for peak dates. One Pass/Locals One Pass > Premium Annual Pass One Pass Lite/Annual Adventure Pass > Saver Annual Pass Prices have stayed the same as the previous Locals pricing but now are available to everyone. 5-14 day holiday tickets remain the same but losing the previous Escape/Super/Mega Pass naming. Following conditions apply for the new dated single day tickets ”Guests may change their visit date up to five (5) times within the same pricing tier for free, subject to availability. Date changes can be made via the “Change Date” link in the email receipt, via the online account portal, or by contacting our call centre at 13 33 86. Changes must be made before 9:00 AM on the date of your visit. If the new date falls into a higher-priced tier, additional charges will apply”. There’s a new “one day all parks” ticket at $149 that doesn’t require date selection. Thoughts are these changes make sense, the one day pricing increase and removal of the locals requirement is clearly designed to push people even further towards holiday/annual ticketing and discourage visiting Coomera.
  23. Exactly why I'm curious to see. The entry sign (you drive under) is looking quite sad and due for an update/"reimagining" regardless.
  24. Exactly my thoughts, it will be interesting to see if they update the entry and arch signage to reflect this as a mater of priority or if it just progressively is updated across the park as things are replaced ect. They only just released a new magnet with the old logo too. https://shop.themeparks.com.au/collections/all-warner-bros-movie-world/products/superman-magnet-copy
  25. I can be naturally skeptical of any statement that comes out of the parks, but I do believe this that they are getting replacement parts (for the existing ride experience) manufactured. Will they need to look at large expenses/closure/something in the not too distant future, yes. But I think it will still reopen as is.
