Possibility of a Lego Movie ride at MW?
They could give MW a 5 or so year license until the get around to doing a Legoland though. Wouldn't be the first ride to be re-themed.

A Disney restaurant in Florida sprung a leak as diners were enjoying their meals. A fish tank in the dinosaur-themed T-Rex Cafe’s aquatic-themed area suddenly sent water spewing toward guests. Restaurant patron Kate Wallace, who caught the incident on video, told CNN affiliateBay News 9 that restaurant workers rushed in to get people out of the way and to save the fish in the tank. “A seal failed on the tank causing water to leak,” said Keith Beitler, a senior vice president of Landry’s specialty restaurants division, which owns and operates T-Rex Cafe. “Employees took action and did a great job rescuing all of the marine life, caring for our guests and managing the situation. The marine life has been moved to holding tanks and the restaurant is open for business as usual.” Landry’s confirms that all of the marine life were rescued alive. T-Rex is in the Downtown Disney complex, which includes restaurants, entertainment and shops. Downtown Disney sits outside Disney’s theme parks in Orlando, and there aren’t any entrance or parking fees to enter. http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/disney-world-guests-flee-as-aquarium-bursts/story-e6frfq80-1226858901295

Not sure in that pic exactly where you mean, but that lighter coloured part of the channel is the one that moves to bring the boats to maintenance.

Wouldn't want to block the maintenance bay.

Gotham City Cafe Closed
I doubt it, but you never know. I mean if it was a safety issue and it was left open, sure. Doesn't explain though, if it was a "safety issue" why close the covered area as well? Why not just close the shutters and leave a nice covered area, throw in an extra table or 4 and you've got a bigger eating area.

All Scooby is is lasers and fog machines and look how well that's going. All Buzzsaw is is tv screens showing fire and they don't seem to want to turn those on either.

That's all well and good but a limited post saying "staff safety reasons" is a pretty poor way to go about saying it and "can't tell you any more in case I get in trouble" just comes across as smug "I'm so cool I know stuff". Why not "I'm not allowed to say any more than this, but it's closed due to a safety issue impacting staff in the store." That's helpful, polite, to the point and doesn't come across as smug like the last one.

And now you've just dug a very deep reputation hole you're going to need to do a lot of work to climb out of. "I know something you don't know but I'm not telling" Such awesome. So respect. Much cool. Wow.

Could you imagine if they had those fire and light effects in our parks here? Dreamworld would turn them off after 2 weeks to save money and Movieworld would let them run for 3-4 months till they broke progressively and just not bother to fix them

What makes a good ride?
Not sure, but from a requirement by design, I don't think so considering when they run cars with broken harnesses/seats, they don't have to keep re-locking those. From a safety perspective, I would have thought they'd have to check it out every run.
