  1. With the Shock Therapy thing, can someone please provide a run down on where the ride is called what. Park map: Website: Arkham Asylum – Shock Therapy Entrance: Promo gear: Press releases: Anything else I've missed?
  2. Alright guys, put 'em away this is getting off topic. Can we get back to talking about the ride, not who can do what with facebook posts.
  3. I actually like the back of building being like that. For me, "Movie"world should have more theming like that. Don't try to go all out like disney, leave that for "dream"world. As someone has mentioned previously, movies are fake, the theming should be designed that way too. I'd rather see half a building set up as though it was a movie set, not a full structure that would hardly ever see the light of day in a movie* *Yes before any of you whinge and say they do use full sets in movies, yes I know that, but my point is a lot of it is about perspective in movies which is why just the facade works fine too.
  4. According to the website, it's just the Taipan and the (yet again renamed?) "Crazy Spinning Coaster"
  5. Wouldn't be the green tank in the courtroom with TwoFace? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=lOGCvzFVKXg#t=480s
  6. Since when has MW been going for quantity? They added one fucking ride?! And let's compare the non-existant theming of LW to AA. Maybe we should just get the Dippin Dots guy to print some money for the park
  7. Or seen the price of decent wood at bunnings? Which was all done prior to the GFC, so there was a bit more security in the market. Theming that can last outside to the quality of WWF definately won't come cheap. I'd rather they don't go all out on the theming and just save up something to keep the place running and add rides down the track. Don't forget too that WWF theming is mostly behind a fence where idiots can't get to it. If there was theming around the guests which cost a lot in the first place, after the first week it would be damaged and covered in chewing gum, then everyone would be on here bitching about how the park's let itself go. Looks normal to me. Maybe just the face there's a crossover in the track everyone's getting excited again? No idea.
  8. Are you referring to me or the people after me?
  9. I'd be more inclined to go with the fact that it's not in any real way believable. I only used that page as it had a decent enough background with text to change and I was doing a fairly rushed job in case anyone else had a similar idea. Butt if eye did that, wat wood peeple who kan knot take a joke haf two complane about/
  10. Just found this on their website. Definitely did not see this one coming. Anyone know the reason behind it?
  11. Nah, feel free to wander around and climb the track next time you're there.
  12. AFTER being the key word there. Don't give them ideas
  13. I'd say strop is right. New train, new forces. I'm just happy that they're trying to fix it not just saying, oh well, too old to bother, people won't notice one less ride will they?
  14. But you did accidentally the English language?
  15. Who cares if it was done with cheap 2D wallpaper? All I'm saying is just be thankful they're still willing to invest something in keeping the park current. I would be pretty damn stupid (and I'm sure there would probably be some kind of fire regulations involved) to build an entire new facade on the outside of the show stages. Effectively you're asking them to make a wall to cover an existing wall when they can simply use wallpaper and still achieve a decent result.
  16. 3rd photo appears to be more of an emergency exit, not the standard exit.
  17. This was the weekend of the last v8 race/melb gp so whenever that was, he was saying how he had to work the next day with the deadline of "yesterday" due to all the rain they had at the time.
  18. 1) SBNO monorail rolling stock? (used for parts) 2) Looks like some welding or something has been going on on there? Small fracture fixing?
  19. I spoke to a family member who is doing some of the painting there and he said they're behind because of the weather. (This was about a week ago)
  20. Yea I did mean the Seaworld one, just didn't think it needed its own thread for something that probably only needs one or two replies. By looking at it, I assume the Seaworld rolling stock has been replaced at least once? Or just good maintenance and paint?
  21. Just on a topic of things closing, since the Sydney monorail opened in 1988 and has now closed and comments have been made that it's at the end of its life, what does this mean for the Seaworld one which opened in 1986?
