I'm interested to see what they do with the inside of the ride. I posted my thoughts earlier in the thread on what I'd like to see, but what I'm expecting is just old photos of cars and other images in the exact same queue space, still with the giant turbine in the middle. I'd loved to be proved wrong though.

I just mean that the review posted didn't cover a lot of the standard pain points from events like this, FN, Carnivale etc. Generally 90% of the complaints about theme park events come from those topics.

While I like the review, I can't help but feel that it reads like a paid advertisement rather than a genuine review. I'm not saying that it is, I'm just stating that's how it comes across to me. I haven't read your other reviews to know if it may just be your writing style, but your review doesn't make mention of any negatives to the experience other than "despite a few trying moments" which you quickly justified as "throughout what was a technical rehearsal" which is fair and valid, but are you saying there was absolutely no negatives to this experience at all? Parking issues? Queue times? Overcrowding? Prices? Opening hours?

^ Was thinking the same thing, which I assume will generally mean locals go with the current version of Q4U, people who have the money to spare and tourists go with the expensive options. Not really a bad thing as long as the money gets invested back into the park.

Discovery channel did a show on the construction of Tatsu a few years back.

Unless they've changed since the free version - they don't do satellite images. They said they would update every 6-12 mths unless someone asked & paid them to fly sooner. Obviously weather and ATC requirements may change that schedule. They use a Cessna 210N Centurion II with a high res camera attached to take the "aerial photography"

Google Earth isn't as consistent as Nearmap. The DNRM plugin for Google Earth also has images in some areas from this year, again, not as recent as Nearmap though.

Depends when someone pays them to fly over the area again.

But overall, looking at it from these photos, I'm extremely disappointed and won't be rushing back. I'd love to see a black track with black supports and some theming on the cars. This looks like a completely half-assed attempt.

Where are you getting that from? I've uploaded many pics to FB that are much larger than that. I even double checked and I've got one 1152 x 2048

Spotty, you've obviously got some kind of connection to the park, or for anyone else who does, are you able to say what, if any changes were made to the ride? Or at least, will there be anything noticeable? Say, new speed, smoother/bumpier ride etc.

I'm all for new parks in Australia, not that I care much for Sydney. Whether this guy is legit or not, wouldn't it make more sense to pull down the crappy website and replace it with something that actually looks professional and appears to have some backing? Well if you paid more attention to my photos you'd see it's still under construction Looks like I may have been mistaken though, 16 Units, 21 car spaces (incl visitors). The other one has 4 units and 5 spaces + 1 visitor space. I also find it hilarious that this one has a 1.25mX1.27m balcony.

The way the people who know what is going on are saying it will make you say "wow", to me that implies it's something we haven't seen before and actually want, rather than going "wow....they really went with THAT?!"

Out of curiosity, has any non-tower residential block ever been rejected? As in say a block of <20 units. Just curious as the developments across from us received around 20-30 valid objections. Valid due to the parking issues already present in the street and the design of the new blocks not having enough car spaces for all the units. The proposal was still allowed to go ahead.

King Tutts is getting on in years though. A new putt-putt would be nice.

There are still a lot of regulations around BOS/BOI permits though. Fortunately haven't come across the situation where one of those mains breaks and something needs to be done about digging it up to fix it though. In saying that, I'd love to see how that plays out. Just to back up what Skeet was saying, these are the only easements (light green) on the land (and the watercourse) Also, looking at the boundaries, it has been combined to one huge lot So at least it looks like it's their land to work with. I'm not sure when these images were taken, the map claims 4/6/15 but there appears to be a couple of red cars in the stunt driver arena and I thought they'd be gone by then? Although driving school was complete and those cars do look like utes so it must be right. As for ideas, incl fixing (I think) the staff entry.... Idea 1 Idea #2 Green area they may not wish to utilise given its proximity to the water tank for the studios.

I heard a rumour they're introducing motorised vehicles into the show. Should be interesting.

Could it just be an extension to the carpark? Although, wasn't it Seaworld that was going to get that carpark coaster years ago?

Which is a shame given HW hasn't used yellow track in a long time. We're now getting the Hot Wheels Wizard Of Oz Sidewinder Cyclone.......with turbines.
