  1. I ahve been watching the disney ones and they have been pretty good. Good to see foxtel showing these.
  2. We really dont need this ride back in Australia. As fun a ride it is we need to be looking forward tro new rides and progress.
  3. Reading back through this thread I am a bit confused. Has if been confirmed that LW is being rethemed as a Batman rollercoaster? Also do when have any Idea what is happening to the Batman Ride and its possible replacement? Thanks Guys
  4. I normaly go alone as I dont really have any friends that are interested in parks.
  5. I am all for more dark water rides. Who honestly goes to disneyland and doesntt want to ride Pirates or Splash mountain? They are the best fun and all ages can enjoy them. I say turn them both back into two new dark water rides.
  6. God, another thread turned into a class on spelling and grammar. This place will never grow if every thread gets hijacked by the punctuation police. Its honestly more annoying than people mistakes in the first place which most people probably overlook anyway. Back to the topic, I think Roadrunner looks ok at the moment. There is other things that need to be fixed first I believe.
  7. I have had it happened a few times. The hulk at Universal Orlando and Viper at Six flags Magic Mountain. It just happens sometimes. It could be alot of factors. Nothing to be embarassed about.
  8. God I hated that pirate movie. It was a generic movie show at places all over the world. I once saw it at the Vancouver aquarium. It was totaly lame. As for Sponge Bob. It think its a great addition. Kids love it and adults can get into it too.
  9. Just roll in on a monday moring and you will walk onto most things at Movie World. You can have the whole park done in an hour and then go back and reride your favourites after.
  10. Ive been pretty lucky, in all the rides and parks ive been on/to I have only been stuck on Space mountain at WDW and Star Tours at Disneyland Paris. On Space mountain a guy had to come and push our train into the station as we stopped near the end. We had to sit in the dark for a while before the lights came on which was suprising. As for Star Tours it was simply the ride breaking down half way through.
  11. Well it sounds like Movie World really pulled through on this one. After watching it in testing I was very excited and now after hearing everyone reviews and seeing photos/vids I am totaly pumped. I will have to get down next week to give it a ride. Ok Movie World, lets back this up with a great family attraction in place of bugs and we have a very good park here.
  12. who wouldnt want that job? I was there yesterday too. Just alot of testing really although the train did look very slow. Still cant wait to ride it. It looks like alot of fun. A LONG way to go towards any themeing still.
  13. what a shame, I love the Jaws ride but i guess thats progress for you. I wonder what they are thinking to replace it with?
  14. Well I dont believe we will ever see a great dark ride like Looney Tunes or Bemuda Triangle again for a long time and its a real shame. Hey I hope I am wrong and they blow us away with something amazing but I just dont see it in tyhe near future. I hope I am prived wrong
  15. I would have to say Paris is up there as the best Disney Park for sure. Everything is themed and kept so well. Lots of detail. I was just in Hong Kong Disney 3 days ago for the first time and I agree it got boring with not alot to do. I was totaly done in the middle of a summer day in about 5 hours having rode some stuff 3 times each. Its a very beautiful Park though and I think when all the new lands are build it will give Paris a run for its money for sure with how nice everything looks. Space Mountain is great in Hong Kong though. It was probably my favourite although the cue leaves little to desire compared to the others. Anaheim is still the best space mountain cue to me.
  16. sounds good to me, I look forward to the progress. Sounds like you might be onto to something good.
  17. well lets do that then. I personally think our parks are pretty good and only just short or being great. I would love to see a proper culture happening here in OZ. So what are steps to getting this started? There is obviously people who love theme parks in Australia it just seems hard to find many people besides the die hards that will get off the internet and meet up and do something instead of sitting home complaining from there PC. I havent really seen any proper coaster events in Australia. Is this what we need and would people really come or just say they would?
  18. Its simple, I think all themepark enthusiasts that want to go to the parks alot would be happy to pay more money to visit parks with bigger rides and more "replay value". I think that we are not the target group. Its about tourists and big dollars who come in once a year and spend on the over priced food and see EVERYTHING in thepark and its takes most the day and they go back to the hotel happy with all the souvenirs. We just dont have that "theme park junkie" culture of the USA. I have just travlled the USA and Canada for 3 months and you see a place like Orlando and its a mecca for people like that. As much as I would love the see the Gold Coast become that we just dont have it in is to do that. Not enough tourists nor a big enugh population. As long as they are making the tourists happy and a new big ride every now and then that brings people back every few years they seem happy with that. We all want more but it honestly will never happen. Our parks are only a few rides shy each of being great parks. Move world with 3 more big attractions would be an amazing place for sure. Dreamworld could get there too with another few big coasters etc. Dreamworld seems like its more of a six flags style park where as Movie World has that Universal style polish. Wet N Wild is great and Sea world could do with a big eticket ride to really bump up what is an amazing parl already I think.
  19. My Disney Annual Pass is solid like a credit card. No paper at all.
  20. We used to head to Grundys all the time as a kid. I loved the Ghost Train. The place now there Funtasia is a shell of what Grungys was,
  21. yup that POV makes it look very tame.
  22. If you are staying at a Disney Hotel you get the Extra Magic Hours early entry. I think from Paris to Disney was only around 7 Euros. Make sure you dont put you feet anywhere near the seats. I had my legs crossed and my toe was touching the edge of the other seat and I got fined 50 Euros and I could not dispute it at all. There answer was "we can have the police meet you at the next station if you want" lol.
  23. Yup people tend to miss the Dragon, it moves and breaths smoke and stuff. Really cool. As for order, I would do Space Mountain first, then head back to Phantom Manor but grab a Peter Pan fast pass at this point, you could hit up Big Thunder while while there as they are side by side. Head to Pirates then to Indy at the back of the park By now you should be able to use you Peter Pan fast pass, If you get in for extra magic hours early you could have all these done in an hour and half leaving the rest of the day to check out what you want. I am not sure is Star Tours is still there but go check it out seeing as you cant see the original in the USA parks ever again. You will have to check out the opening and closing times for when you are there as they change. As for a train ticket, Where are you coming from/ going to?
  24. Wow that does look pretty sweet, that themeing is nuts too.
