From the wording it seems the lisence will be an upsell purchase. It says kids will have the "opportunity to get" a lisence souvenir.

I don't see why they can't carry tubes up, it is only a two person tube ride after all.

It's a shame they are not fully maintaing the Dreamworks figures, you can see bird poo on Tigress' head, spiders living on her and rubbish on the shelf behind the Duck (Po's "dad"). A quick wipe over once a week or so couldn't be too much effort surely.

Looks like there will be a few animated figures as well, you can clearly see the top of Scooby Doo's head in the barell under the Scooby Castle, presumably he will pop out as the kids drive past. I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed so far.

They must be reading these discussions haha, I'm surprised at how many positive comments there are regarding the store and people wanting to visit just because of it - I'm sure all of the merchandise would have been available elsewhere in the park - They should turn the old lethal weapon store into a villians themed shop.

Parent swap is a good idea, especially for those visiting with kids and don't have a "non-rider" in the group. I agree the TV in the queue is a bit dated in my opinion most people carry smartphones with a world of entertainment in there hands hands anyway, even for queues where no loose items are allowed surely people can just TALK and enjoy being in each others company. I also think DW will ultimately use the TV's as an advertising medium for ticket upgrades, Q4U, year passes etc.

Cut snake is an Aussie beach themed name? Regardless I think it's time WWW update their website. They are still referring to the green room as though it's still being built and that it "will be 1 of only 2 of its kind in Australia".

Well I don't see how the "Super Tubes Hydro Coaster" name fits the Aussie theme and the "Green Room" is also a bit of a weird naming choice.

Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but its the original concept for the Little Mermaid Ride, would have been similar ride system to Peter Pans Flight, I can understand why Disney went with the people eating omnimover instead though.

All this being said I think we may be judging Junior Driving Schools lighting way to early - no one has actually seen the finished product yet, because it doesn't even exist. Who knows if the the lighting in the pictures will be the final result? The ride is still being built so I dare say that the lighting is just the generic lighting for the building during construction, and that the "theatrical" or "show" lighting is yet to be installed. The builders won't build the ride while the ride is lit in show mode will they?

Ariel herself still has "standard" lighting, and is the only figure in the room to have it, thus they have obscured her a bit more with seaweeds to confine the lighting to only her, you can see the changes in the videos below. Before Changes- After -

Disney has recently addressed the ceiling issue on the Little Mermaid Ride at California Adventure - They now "light" the under the sea room with black lights which only illuminate the figures painted with the black light paint thus the roof is no longer visible at all.

So Looney Tunes River Ride could be called Australia's first water coaster?

It's quite funny reading through the Facebook comments on Dreamworld's announcement for Tailspin - Most of the comments are about bringing the Mine Ride back and a lot of comments are people complaining that it looks just like the Claw and Pandamonium.

It is illegal to take water from a fire fighting hydrant or fire hose reel, unless it is taken for fire fighting purposes. This applies to both public and privately owned fire hose hydrant/ reels. Ensure that fire hoses are not used for wash down. Not only do these hoses use large volumes of water, use of the hose for a non-fire fighting purpose is illegal and large on the spot fines apply. A person must not take water from a fire fighting system or water hydrant without the permission, unless the water is taken for fire fighting purposes (Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008, Section 145 (1)). On the 2spot fines apply with a maximum 1000 penalty units. Water supply act 2008 So Dream World could get relevant council permission to use the fire hydrant.

working in retail people complaining about queues really gets to me haha - we have 4 registers open, but everyone lines up at the one nearest the exit and complains. Or they complain that's is to busy and we should get more operators, just wait 5 or 10 minutes and it will be dead quiet again. Most annoying is when they ask why we bother having 10 checkouts when only 3 or 4 are open at a time.

Maybe they are planning to replace the cars with spinning wild mouse cars, that will face forwards as normal until after the backwards drop
