@Jamberoo Fan not sure, but online you can't purchase 1 lap, so maybe they've removed that option in park, to keep the option of laps and costing the same.

So here is some news for you all. The construction walls have been completely taken down, with just some low metal fencing in position now. The store I think looks really pretty at night, and does have multi coloured LED strips along the roof. You can see in the bottom left corner of the below image that there are some glass sliding doors which will provide an entrance/exit to and from Main Street, where there currently is that part fenced off.

@Slick That sign has been there since the Cub Kindy opened, and yes it is over in Ocean Parade.

There are some banners throughout the park that do feature the Rooster on them, and on the room they've built on Main Street (As they did last year), it does say 2017, and have a roster on that. (Sorry didn't get photos of them). I do agree, but I think DW could do something good for Australia Day, and now that MW has got all there CNY decorations up, don't think it would look right if they did celebrations for Aus Day. DW could have the flag up, have classic Aus Day competitions and BBQs throughout the park. And play some classic Australian music. Doesn't have to be anything major I don't think, just something would be nice to see.

Preparations for this years Chinese New Year Celebrations for the year of the rooster have begun. I still think they could take these Celebrations further, and make a new night even from it, especially now if Carnivale stays at SW. They could have fire effects, street entertainment, and a parade, but maybe they don't need to do floats, but could have tonnes of the dragons and all the street performers create this final show. It could run throughout February, and really think it be a great event, especially if they also have Chinese food stalls throughout the park.

It looks like they are removing that fencing, as from the original plans they are going to use quite a bit of area for stage 2, which also goes towards the back of the island.

It was positioned in the garden bed, so to me it seems like it will be for the plants to grow up creating and green wall to some what hide the toilets behind it.

The Storm was shipped from Germany wasn't it? So I'd imagine for a coaster of this scale, it would be shipped.

Bit more of the fence has been done, but that's about as exciting as it gets

This was the machine digging the holes (Blue machine and Photo from Coaster site), and couldn't tell how far a part they were, because I didn't go up to the fence to see. Could just see from WNW carpark that it was being used.

Just been on the slide, and didn't get scratched by the slide as someone mentioned people were. Mats were even lighter than the ones before, and was great to see they had also finally done something about the stairs so there weren't gaps or slime on some. New timing/position system was also really good.

Even more machinery now on site, with diggers renoving the remaining trees and soil from the site. Large holes are also being dug along the side nearest to the film tank.

There are a number of workmen on the top of the lift hill, both in the stair well and on top of the actual track. With a massive crane on site, as the harness for them. Been there for at least a couple of hours now.

Was at the park this morning, and there were quite a few people booking for the Buggy as well as having a go on them. When at the top of the kamikaze tower you can see quite a bit more of the track, and did see someone go a bit faster than what I've seen before and they do pick up speed pretty quickly and get some decent air over the jumps.

^Exactly, something like AA is understandable to report, but it's they way they portray it and the wording they use to make it sound like it's worse than what it is. But I suppose that's what I media does. It is just the reports like RR, WWF and GL that annoy me because they happen daily, so why the need to report on them and scare people. I imagine that it's park guests that see this, and contact the media telling them about it, when they themselves don't realise it's something that occurs often. Those people probably only visit the parks once every year or so, and don't know what them all, while we who visit more often know it happens, and is supposed too. If the rides never broke down or stopped for safety reasons I'd probably be more concerned.

This is just absolutely rediculous. What everytime I ride does something that it shouldn't do the news is going to report on it. It's so stupid and not needed what's so ever. If someone is in danger, or the ride does something that hasn't been safe or isn't normal, like an emergency stop, then DONT REPORT ON IT. Pisses me off continually seeing this stuff. People are going to gain less and less faith in the parks, with these reports that make you believe something horrible has happened.

From the last photos that I took, it has come along quickly and I'm sure it will be ready.
