Very true. But that was a decision based on lower crowd levels at WNW during the cooler months. I’m sure if they wanted to, it could have operated 11 months of the year, with a one month closure for maintenance. But having a SBNO ride for over 3 years is bound to take a lot of effort to get it up and running reliably again. The last thing they need is another Doomsday.

The dodgems scheduled maintenance has been extended by a couple weeks. They have removed all of the pathway into the area, so they are using this downtime to redo all the paths and continue works on the facades of the area

All of the track has now been installed. So why will it another 9 months before the ride opens! Was the rides move such a last minute decision and the timeline for the sculptures/theming to be made that long that it’s just going to take that long. We could potentially have a finished and working ride just sat there for 7-8 months (once commissioning is done) while they wait for theming to arrive. Or are they waiting on parts for the actual ride, so they’ve installed the track now while they can and then we’ll see very little progress while they wait for whatever it is to arrive.

Dreamworlds former fast track system, Q4U used to be a tiered system and you would pay to cut the wait time in half, 75% or 95%. But post 2016 I believe is when they scraped the system. Now days, they have a tiered system in the way of single ride, five rides or unlimited rides

They did used to have it. And had it for several years. I believe it was around $200 at Movie World. The issue they had was the normal queue times would increase greatly because the fast track queue was getting too long. They probably could’ve sold less and charged more, but they went for removing it entirely (which I don’t think is a bad thing)

@REGIE it certainly has, they’ve been there for 3 months Id day the platform will undergo works/repaint at a later date, or they’ll be hidden by the theming that was shown in the concept artwork

Does Vikings Revenge around Bermuda count at SW count? Does Freaky Frogs within the helix of Boomerang at LPS count? Does the entirety of LPM count? Did the original Vintage Cars around TOT/GD count at DW count? Did the Cyclone and Thunderbolt count? Does Gold Coaster and WWW slides count? I think some of these aren’t as strong of argument as others, but I’d argue that the Freaky Frogs/Boomerang situation is absolutely relevant. It’s just such a bold and unnecessary claim for them to make

I don’t think it was new track, but was removed and refurbished, reinstalled and now has been removed and refurbished again.

I like the colour scheme, the theming is more than I was expecting, but unfortunately will align with their other coasters and their theming (the statues are a nice touch). The opening date was very much a surprise, I was expecting an opening of this December at the very latest. Maybe there’s an issue with the second half of track we have’t yet seen. Based on this concept artwork, I’m also confused how you’ll enter the ride, because it seems like you’ll approach it from the left side of the Superman Escape signage (path would be the red line) Zooming in on the concept artwork, it looks like the ride will have the new restraint system And they also show this on the ride type image too

There are two seperate control booths on either side of the tower. Id say both operators synchronised their button pushing so they both went up at the same time, so that loading/unloading is more efficient as ifs happening at the same time

This has made an already mediocre ride even worse. You’d probably have more fun on a playground swing. Operating the ride like this means it can’t get any speed, making it just a slow and very controlled swing. Obviously they’re having to operate the ride like this and for only 4 hours a day because the major issues it’s having haven’t been properly rectified.
