  1. All references to the monorail have been removed from the parks website
  2. The maintenance listing for the first half of 2023 has been posted on the parks website
  3. WWF has reopened, it temporarily closed due to the major rainfall on Thursday night and the water had to be drained/treated
  4. This is incredibly sad news. I was lucky enough to meet Patrick on several occasions and his passion for tigers and Tiger Island was inspiring. From my perspective this is a major loss for DW, but the remaining tiger island team is very much capable after all the years of training from the man who started it all. This definitely won’t be the end of Tiger Island as it’s still a major part of DW and we won’t be seeing the animals leave the park either. The park management recognises how popular and important that area of the park and while they may see rides as more important and a draw factor for guests to the park, animals are still an essential part of DW that won’t be leaving.
  5. New sign for 2022, plus you can see precinct theming starting to appear in the park
  6. We’ve seen how much the event has increased in price this year compared to 2019, but do people think this has/will make the event less popular because less people can afford to attend? In the previous years, I’ve found the event to be underwhelming in some areas, in comparison to 2013-2015 (for example) which were fanatic events and a quarter of the price. This year I was hoping that we’d get 4 or 5 new mazes (because it had been several years since the previous event), but with the price increase, for me, I don’t think I’ll be attending. Unless the reviews say the event is amazing this time and they have improved it across the board, then I might consider attending. In previous years, we usually would see nights start selling out weeks before the event, but thus far, no nights have sold out. However in 2019, when there was a price increase, the first night only sold out a few days before. Maybe it’s because more tickets are on sale for each night, but just an observation in comparison to the event years ago.
  7. We don’t, but it would be highly likely that they did. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the parks are constantly in talks with manufacturers
  8. Building and queue painting has begun There are new garden beds and lawn area New sign to come for entrance No more progress on the tower itself. I believe the few weeks of bad weather in winter caused delays and the workers scheduled to the work had to go to other jobs and will be back to complete it
  9. Surely that was just a guest messing around with the sign and putting them all on there
  10. The wedgie and Fully 6 slides 2 & 3 will remain closed for the entirety of this operating season
  11. I haven’t seen evidence that the train was empty. It might have had riders on it and they got them out. And they haven’t made a statement that it was because of the winds, but people have made an assumption that’s the reason (which I do agree seems to be the reason)
  12. Agreed, and with JL and GL down all holidays, they desperately need to get Rivals back in operation otherwise queues could become a shit show again
  13. What’s everyone’s thoughts on maze locations this year? In 2019 they had 4 out in the sheds and one in the dodgems area. I’d imagine it will be the same again this year, but could they potentially also use the second half of the arcade area and allow for one bigger maze in the sheds? As Doll Haus and Zombieland are in the same shed, I assume they haven’t been touched since 2019 and will be in the same position. And the same for IT.
  14. It definitely won’t be ready for September school holidays which begin next week. I’m thinking it could be opening in November in time for the summer holidays

  16. The dark field is now available to book on the website, but so far isn’t being advertised anywhere until you are within the ticket purchase area Its available during the event every 30 minutes But it’s also available to day guests during the school holidays between 12 and 5
  17. The rivals train is still mid course and has been strapped down into place so it doesn’t move.
  18. I honestly forgot about that ride, but let’s be real, it will probably break down anyway. I don’t think this is something that our parks will do. I’ve never seen them reduce the entry ticket for any reason.
