  1. SFMM's Green Lantern I assume?
  2. Dreamworld's retail strategy has long been to sell generic surf brands, and other brands that have nothing to do with Dreamworld. I suspect this is merely an extension of that.
  3. Clearly not. It's a suggestion, followed by a reply to the post above his.
  4. On the other hand, Merlin probably don't have the rights to the LEGO MOVIE, just LEGO. The characters from those movies and by extension, the world they inhabit, are probably up for grabs, and that's what I'm suggesting Movie Wprld should theme a ride to (or at least should investigate anyways). Also don't forget Village Roadshow is also a producer of the LEGO movie, so it's a hugely successful popular with all age groups Warner Village movie made in Australia. I stand by my opinion on its suitability for a Movie World attraction. And having it condensed to 15mins isn't going to cut it. A 15min sequel like Universal did with Shrek would do nicely though. The other thing about adding a Matrix ride is that the movie is still known all this time later, and it'd be a stupidly easy theme to work with, particularly for a coaster. Think about it, you literally only have to theme the queue: Simply place it in the 'real world', have monitors talking about how nothing exists and you can do anything in the matrix. Introduce the idea that when you sit on this chair you'll enter the matrix and will experience things you never thought possible. Yeah that theme is so cheap and easy that it's perfect regardless of how old the film is, particularly a film that's still remembered.
  5. I just think everyone's just sick of the 'I know but I can't tell you' brigade. Honestly it's every 3rd poster these days. A good rule: if you know something but can't say, keep your mouth shut.
  6. The first two movies aren't Warner Brothers, but the second two are (at least in America). If they wanted to I don't think it would be impossible to get the rights. Personally, I'm all for the park doing something for Batman's 75th anniversary. As far as what movie franchise the park should use, I think given there working relationship with Merlin I think a Lego Movie ride is a gimmie, or maybe something San Andreas related since it's such a big movie being filmed here.
  7. The problem with doing things in Lethal Ally is that two attractions fire exits lead there. Realistically, the most you could do is a 'scare zone', so long as you hooked up floodlights to both ride's fire systems.
  8. It's not about the view though? You don't buy an on ride photo thinking 'ugh, they could've tried to get the WHOLE ride in the photo'. A close up of someone's face does the trick. Am I missing something here?

If you're into mine craft and amusement parks some of this stuff here is pretty incredible: https://www.youtube.com/user/TwistaaGaming
  10. 'Just' removing them is waaaay more involved than 'just' painting over them. If you're going to say to 'just' do something, make sure it's less effort
  11. Jobe: Any idea how successful the park has been and what recent additions have done to attendance?
  12. Screamscape is still my go to for most things. Miceage is still my site for all things Disney, though I miss the days when every article on the main page was a well written article instead of the current setup where there is 2 or 3 good articles a week, and the rest is book reviews and podcasts. They're also plain wrong about waaaay more stuff now Al Lutz has taken a step back from things.
  13. No, all there was was a man at the back. Apparently he said 'charge' or something similar. I wasn't there someone else told me about it so could be wrong.
  14. Everyone who quotes the whole post above then to respond to a topic.
  15. Stop quoting posts! We know what you're responding too, use the reply options at the bottom if the page!
  16. If you upgrade to a park hopper. Hogwarts express is basically a well themed up charge. How do they theme a coaster to a shop? Well they've themed one to a bank so it can clearly be done.
  17. It looks very impressive, lots of good detail. But something's been bothering me... Will everyone be praising Disney if when they open their new Star Wars themed land if it only has 1 ride in it? People are already moaning that apparently Avatarland will only have 1 ride in it, so why is this OK? Again, what if Disney spread out it's Star Wars land between 2 (or more) parks? I can already hear the people calling it a cynical money grab if Disney were to do it, so, where are those people now?
  18. ^^ That's the best story ever! You should tell it again
  19. You post doesn't provide nearly enough information for anyone to have an informed opinion. Care to provide link that explain: 1. How much Movie World is getting? 2. What are they providing for that money? 3. How this compares to what others would charge for something similar? 4. How much has historically been spent? 5. How many people attend community events? 6. How much of the rates rise went to Movie World? 7. If this is a change, what are the benefits/ drawbacks? Are Movie World merely being compensated for losing the use of their car park for a specific night? Are Movie World being asked to host the whole event? Which of those options is more cost effective? I'm not arguing with or against you, I'm just saying that this stuff isn't as black and white as it's made out to be, and over time I've become skeptical of people who complain about spending which must account for MAYBE 0.001% of the overall budget and act like it's crippling the country. Give me more information and I may or may not share your outrage.
  20. FWIW I know a few people who have had a chance to try some of the food, and the reviews have been pretty spectacular. How it ends up being when it's cooked for the masses is anyone's guess, but the early reviews are very promising.
  21. MickeyD: The one I always liked was casting an eye over the course and noticing that one of the cars was now empty and there were 4 confused kids banked up behind them.
  22. I thought the height thing was in reference to a star flyer and in that context it makes a good deal of sense. I mean there's a big difference between a 100meter tall Star-flyer and the Zumer.
