Maybe people here need to google the definitions of new and rebuilt. New - produced, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time; not existing before. Rebuilt - Any broken parts are replaced with new or reconditioned ones, however, parts that are still within the manufacturer's specs are reused. Let’s just wait til it opens and see I guess

Why are we still comparing NA opening/delay to JR? NA was delayed due to a global pandemic and DW has already played the weather card 8+ months before the end of the year’s opening. Let’s just wait to see if it opens in December.

I’m not sure if we have seen any artist impressions yet, but does anyone know if there is any storytelling or what the queue line set up will be like leading up to JR? *DW if you’re reading this, please let us know!

I did think that, but in the 7News report there was another angle and it looks further back from the crane

Yeah, I saw that too. It makes me wonder if they found an issue, especially since they had to remove pieces after announcing the final one was installed on July 30th. You think they’ve carefully planned the installation of the rollercoaster and theming to avoid more delays. Although, with the rain this week and as the Operations Manager mentioned on an earlier tv interview, ‘if the rain stays away, we plan to be opening by the end of the year.’ 😬

I don’t think it’s an announcement, more of an update on the progress from the caption on the countdown above, but could be wrong.

Wet’n’Wild had their 40th birthday today and they hinted at new slides coming on the news tonight. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/e9PnfkPkJJ5GYU5m/?mibextid=VMBKnz

Outdone by DW? Didn’t MW drop Kansas Twister trains last week and are following up with Wicked Witch, or can’t we just appreciate that two parks have new rides coming, without saying “they’re doing it because the other park did it”, guess not…

wonder if we will get an unboxing or more updates on Scooby, as we get closer to 2025.

My interpretation of “Never been done before” was related to The Wizard of Oz being created into a theme park as its own land. I’m just enjoying all the bts content we are getting out of the park, which is awesome! Hopefully we see this continue with Scooby Doo’s refurb.

It looks like a WB thing more than a Movie World decision. See WB World has these costumes, so maybe they need to align to the rest of the Worlds?

I think his comment is about the lack of angles the park put out in their video with no context.

Why must we always look at the negative and just appreciate the park is sharing updates.

Sea World also is lit up for Autism Day! Well done to both parks! 👏

It’s been lit like this for Autism QLD Day… just drove past and it’s lit up Red and Yellow now. Looks cool with Green Lantern, Rivals all lit up at night! Well done to the AV team, wonder what it will do when the ride is operating?

What are you going on about? The only thing related to a toilet is the 💩 you just said.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Will be an interesting race and a big summer for both parks!

Anyone else think this may not open by the end of the year or will open in stages? (Jungle Rush and then Vintage Cars at a later date). When you look at the progress on Wizard of Oz, seems Movie World is well ahead. No hate on either park, just going by these updates across the parks.

I think they are surprised it’s a brand new board and not repurposing Surfrider’s board.

Don’t forget closing a whole waterpark for majority of the year… 🤔

Oh that’s good to know. Where did you find this info?

Typo

I don’t think an everyday guest would be looking at/for this type of stuff, it would be theme park enthusiasts spotting things like this. They go for the ride experience, not looking at storage below a ride going 0-100km.

Sorry, but where in the video does it mention the name of the rides or any relations to Movie World?

I’m assuming since there’s 2 giant drops they would just alternate maintenance by having one in operation.
