  1. Funny, Lights Out has the highest rotten tomatoes score of any horror movie in many years (I haven't seen in - though I saw the original short movie that inspired it and that was great)
  2. They've been doing that for a good 9-12 months. Not sure how a kids gets hurt using a skipping rope or a beach ball.. Liability wise I imagine it would be no different to a kid tripping over the gutter in a crowd or over their own feet - tough luck..
  3. Superheroes rule the day currently, and you'd be hard pressed finding someone under the age of 25 that knows what the Twilight Zone is/was. Whilst that's not the parks only target market, pre-teen to young adults make up a very large market
  4. I somehow doubt you'll be picking up the VR somewhere else in the park, unless your are having to leave a $200 security deposit for your headset.. think you're going off half-cocked Santa. I can get the disappointment in this being upcharge, but there is no other plethora of stupid mistakes across the VTP properties in recent times at all.
  5. So it's clearly not going to only be $3... ..so what's everyone's thoughts on the upcharge cost/arrangement. $5, $10, $15? Discount for VIP/unlimited members? where do you pay? How do you prove payment, and is it a pay per day (ride as many times as you like) or pay per ride?
  6. They charge $5 for a water, I don't think it will be a gold coin job..
  7. Ehhh...upcharge. wasnt really expecting that. VR isn't super "YAY" for me, so it will entirely cost dependant to if I give it a go or not..
  8. They'll probably make more than they do at screamworld given the number of muppets I've seen tripping over all over the place glued to their phones on that game
  9. Both things that heavily resonate with both tigers, and islands..
  10. I can certainly see the value in it, it's not something you would do every Visit or maybe ever more than once. Wasnt even aware DW had a comparable VIP experience.
  11. Think I've found a great potential attraction for the Dreamworld river, a great Eco-based attraction that will have guest snapping at the heals to get in line..
  12. AA is my clear second. I love the height and initial descent after the lift fill, and the intensity of the ride overall. To be honest I probably prefer the ride experience on AA to SE but 'best' goes to SE purely on the dark ride element and launch
  13. Hope no one ever lets you near any important machinery... You'd get alone well with my 3 year old though.. Well I guess you could vote for Eureka given its technically still there...
  14. Other than faded facades, I don't really see how the area could be maintenance-poor. What maintenance did it ever receive when it was a main thoroughfare?
  15. I reckon MW should invest in relevant themed fence wrap for each area (really only 2-3 anyway) i mean, there's not that much greenery in the Wild West... Bit of an eyesore. even a simple western bar/saloon style image with a few wanted posters would look awesome.
  16. I like that we can see who votes what. iwerks broke the rules already, voting other and then not commenting...
  17. I might be in the minority but I think JL has great re-ride ability and I enjoy it. It's family friendly, great for a cool down on a hot day where most queues are exposed. The only thing it doesn't have going for it its not well signposted or located. Sorry. Not even going to pretend to know what that is.. Haha
  18. ⬆️⬆️ Agree with all that
  19. surely he didn't grow that much in the day... I wouldn't say a Tigers are main portion of the park, they are a supplementary attraction to the rides. And to say "dont go to DW if you are scared to tigers" is ridiculous. I love tigers so it wouldn't bother me (though they are hardly cuddly creatures..) but most guests wouldn't expect large tigers to be being walked by leash around the park. Being scared of an animal but comfortable knowing they are on the other side of a 10m moat or a glass window is very different to having one being walked close to you with no physical barrier. 99.9% of people are scared of tigers, your comfort with them is knowing there are barriers to stop them eating you... took this last year at DW in the Lair. So cute & cuddly til they get hungry...
  20. Think original meant VR as in VRTP but going with your line of thinking, would the animatronic aspects and set design of JL (which is for the most part, great quality) not be completely lost if it was converted to VR? It may as well be an empty shed with a track through it. As for MDMC - I can just imagine what you'd see in the headset, flag drops, you fly off the line, around the first bend and your bike stalls, and you have to push it into the pits.
  21. Needs winky + sarcasm tags...
  22. because of the framework around the entry?
  23. I think he's trying to ascertain if the construction workers photographed are theme park enthusiasts who post here... No idea why...
  24. Reading through the info on the website I think it's a great idea and a nice little revenue kick for PC. Great to see a heap of options available, from the Eco tents, to regular tents that are erected for you, to stationary motorhomes. The inclusions like sunrise feeds and nightly campfires are unique experiences on the GC which I think will be received really well
