  1. I wonder if the old Marvin ride site will be used at all for the new ride. Maybe part of the queue?
  2. They just need to upgrade the awfully performing Kinect games now.
  3. Exciting stuff! The concept art for TNT's entrance looks great. Never been before but the park is definitely on my radar now for future trips.
  4. Here's a pic dump from Wednesday Dummies were in but saw no testing Lots of greenery waiting to be planted Slight theming clash with Nick land Like how the Trident wall is looking! The statues are pretty big Half of a even BIGGER statue (later) the crane is up The BIG Statue half is getting moved Looks like he's being installed by Trident Lots of Trees have been planted by Levy No sign of testing on either ride but I don't think it will too long now...
  5. “We’ll have some news on that soon,” says Yong. “We just signed a new deal with The Wiggles and you can imagine we’re going to do a lot with that.” Quote from the daily telegraph article
  6. (can't edit my other post) Had a looky and found what I was referring to: "The kids love the wildlife area, Slater tells Young, but, she says, the rides for young children are looking a bit tired. “We’ll have some news on that soon,” says Yong. “We just signed a new deal with The Wiggles and you can imagine we’re going to do a lot with that.” Yong is close-lipped about the rides to be announced before Christmas, apart from saying they’ll be family focused, themed and “highly immersive”. “I visualise Grandma or Grandpa riding with a young grandchild and having a very good experience, as opposed to big, scary thrill rides. That’s part of what we do, but the next few things are very much about family and intergenerational experience.” Source: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/they-were-very-dark-days-inside-story-dreamworld-boss-reveals-how-close-theme-park-came-to-closure/news-story/64593ab8fd18fefee06bf2a0c88f7878 Interesting...
  7. There's a video of it rollbacking during testing. https://youtu.be/yecHefjhueY Would love some lighting on Rivals!
  8. Maybe Dreamworks land as a whole is becoming Kenny and Belinda's? If it's a "dreamland" you can easily keep the jungle/fantasy/chinese theming for it. Also, didn't they say a couple months ago that Wiggles World was getting a refresh? Retheme ABC to a new, larger Wiggles World for the toddlers and have Dreamland be for the kids.
  9. The one that came to mind was this one in Auckland: Been a few years since I've seen it though, so yeah maybe a bit off the mark.
  10. I wouldn't put it past them opening Trident and Leviathan at different dates. The plan was always three stages for New Atlantis after all (before the delays). The date itself is interesting though. Guessing it's not the release window but instead a period of staff previews / technical rehearsals.
  11. In other news: Green Lantern's gone Batman Spaceshot has moved to the right New Joker on DC Rivals 😜 Seriously though, not sure if I like it or not. Looks like a budget airport hotel.
  12. Just like Village's spiel for Batman Legacy: "Largest official Warner Bros. Batman exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere!"
  13. Scooby's is great for sure, but it's gone down in points for me since they repainted (?) the castle and went with the 2D ride sign. It looks so much better in that picture!
  14. So does Levy take the prize for the best ride entrance in Australia?
  15. Went to the event last night and yeah, the smell in the walkthrough was almost unbearable. Heard a few other people unhappy with it too. Kid behind us went: "Mummy, I can't breath!" They really need to get that sorted. Apart from that, had a good time!
  16. I remember being impressed with the effect as a kiddo. Might be misremembering but I think the spark moved along with the boat after the initial burst. It was quite a convincing effect.
  17. I've been riding WWF since it's opening year and I also can't recall the audio - but that video proves otherwise! That's the Mandela Effect for you. The timing of the audio in the video fits in much better than it does now.
  18. I might be misremembering but I'm pretty sure the sparks were taken out right after the fire. Same time they changed the ending scene right before the last drop (the older scene with the exploding barrel was so much better). Interesting! I'll have to pay attention to that next time I ride
  19. Thanks for sharing! Looks like some good content. I've never seen anything from Young Einstein's so I'm particularly interested in checking that out. Now we just need a pov of Lassiter's Lost Mine. Footage from that ride is pretty hard to come by. Edit: Wow the old Wild Wild West preshow is on there!
  20. I've done WWF literally hunderds of times and I've always had trouble understanding them too! The most I can make out is: "Badges? We don't need to stinking badges!" "You don't belong here" I'm going to guess it was custom made for the park, with inspiration from the Treasure of the Sierra Madre scene as I previously mentioned.
  21. It's directly from this scene in the film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre": Why is it there? The two cowboys right before the backwards drop also use (paraphrased) dialogue from the same scene - "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" I guess they thought adding something from the original would give it a bit of continuity?
  22. Thanks for the update! Interesting about Surfrider. I can't think where it could go at Movie World. Maybe replace Doomsday? and yeah, re-theming it would be pretty easy. I could even see them repainting it.
