  1. I always liked the idea of 2 loops built somewhat underground with the top of the loops sticking out and paths going through them. Imagine that as a entrance It would have worked if we never saw thunderbolt I think. Corkscrew is arguably almost as iconic at TOT
  2. Imo dreamworld have always had the better family line up then movieworld. yes some of it is now ageing and when mw add 2 (3?) new family coasters they are both going to have pretty good family line ups. But then again you gotta think DW is not competing with MW so much as it’s competing with the village 3 park pass. I know a lot of people who haven’t been to DW before and feel like you would go a few times and be bored VS 3 different parks. To fight back I think DW need a immersive dark ride in the form of a log flume or trackless or one of the other countless types. And another major thrill coaster. I think DW are going to be carful when buying another Thrill coaster. I don’t think prototypes like the S&S axis are going to be on their radar. A RMC ground up hybrid would be my pick. Plenty of space I personally would use the space in “A” a think an out and back style following the road would look sick. If they didn’t want a RMC I would go a Invert as there is no operating thill inverts in Australia. I would also and a S&S free spin to really round out the collection I would put in somewhere at the back of the park to put life down there “B” so: dark ride / major thrill / S&S free spin. I would also clean up a few areas like they are doing. People are very impressed by well themed “worlds” so more theming throughout the park would be a nice touch. A few more gardens too. Maybe carry on the tiger island theme around the back of the park too.
  3. Gold coaster , tailspin and “escape coaster” all have new icons on the dreamworld website. It’s fairly minor but they look good!
  4. Thanks that is very helpful! How is the vibe around Japan? Any places that feel a bit unsafe or anything? Also how much are fast passes generally? If you can’t remember I can just probably google it somewhere. Also is public transport expensive like it is around here? I didn’t know there was a Tokyo Disney (not a huge Disney fan myself) is there any note worthy attractions or coaster there?
  5. Yeah wow I wish I had the chance to meet John longhurst he seems like he would have been a cool guy. He put a lot of love into dreamworld it seemed like he didn’t treat it as just a financial investment but a dream that he put life in! It would have been such a different DW if they had a corkscrew. Would have really changed everything. I think it would have actually been pretty cool. That’s crazy to think how different the vibes would have been. I do wish they set up the corkscrew as a feature unless seaworld took it.
  6. I am planing a trip to Japan this year or next and I would love some advice on food, getting around, places to stay and which parks are worth visiting the most. When I had a look at most the major parks (Fuji-Q, spa land, universal studios Japan) I realised they are all very spread out. What places and parks are worth it ? Is fast track needed? There’s probably heaps of other things I need to know that I am unaware of so all help and advice is very appreciated!
  7. I might be going to Japan this year I hope I can get on do do
  8. I realised the joke as soon as I posted that comment 🤦‍♂️Thanks for letting me in on it!. I am a bit slow ha
  9. Btw does anyone know of/have a front up clear photo of the seaworld corkscrew logo? I just need the design for something. I was hoping the logo on its own would exist as a PDF or something file somewhere but I can’t find anything like that
  10. If I had a $20 note kicking around in my pocket I would definitely do it then. At $10 I would do it every time I visited the park but at 20 I would do it a few times a year. . The extra $5 it is now make it a one and done for me.
  11. Abyss is more mysterious and a more elusive coaster the first drop and roll in the dark look sick. It’s tricky though i could easy go both ways
  12. Same would love to try one out. What park could have the most chance of getting one though? I feel like none of the GC parks in the near future would want one I missed the reference. I hate to be that person but what do you mean exactly?
  13. It’s a tough one both really good rides. I have not actually done both of them but I feel like even though Big Dipper lll has a better location I have to give my vote to abyss I don’t really like the theme but that first drop and twist in the dark look great fun
  14. Isn’t that ride a AirPowered launch? Or is there another ride I am not aware of
  15. Unbuilt corkscrew? What was that going to be/from
  16. I think replacing the current over the shoulder restraints with lap bars would be nice. The current ones are running a bit rough atm I expect (and enjoy) it on gold coaster but for some reason I want SE to be smooth I know it’s kinda dumb but I would rather lap bars. I hope they can keep the hydraulic launch for some time. But I have not done a standard LSM yet so I will wait and see till I do Big Dipper lll. ST’s launch is great but it’s not a standard launch so hard to compare it
  17. I didn’t even know this place existed until I drove to Tamworth a year ago and saw the sign I was like “what? Out here?” I assumed it must not be operating anymore so I googled it and sure enough there’s a freaking single rain coaster!! And a few decent looking slides / rides? An epic little park and very fun to visit! They are getting A new pool this year I believe
  18. Yeah I just find it kinda interesting how the credits think works and just fun to count. It doesn’t matter too much to me but it’s fun counting. I feel like backwards joker is almost a completely different credit but I don’t count it as one but it’s more different then a relocation
  19. It’s not my photo but look how great this shot looks.. (Thunder bolt tribute anytime soon @Dreamworld?) The white track with the gold loops looked so good. It did fade though in its later years.
  20. There was a door at the end to I remember before you got to the unload station
  21. They have reduced leviathan backwards seat to $25 but as far as I know DCR is still $30. $25 still feels a bit rich but the year pass is decently priced so it’s not to bad I guess
  22. I find it odd that the rat in the hat they have in the car looks like the original Rat in a Hat not the new animated series one
  23. I tried to buy an Akubra hat and the shop said they can only get in 10 a month Akubra is so far behind (might not be covid) but the reality is the supply chain is slow at the moment and with Mack not building mouses for ages they probably have to manufacture it up they don’t have any spare parts sitting around their shop True nevermind then
