Rampage is Retiring at Adventure World
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
At first I was like “oh yeah looks ok” but then it just kept going both directions!! What an awesome little coaster. Looks like so much fun! I definitely approve. You could almost clone it for both adventure world and Aussie world. Heck why not fun fields too. Although I probably would rather them all have unique coasters but that’s how good it looks. -
Sea World Monorail removed from website and park map
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
They might have one car that faces backwards and charge 30$. -
the biggest positive however is not every topic would turn into a Village vs DW fight. My life’s work is complete. . I definitely failed the “think before you speak” rule there.. not gonna post after no sleep for days, again.

Thanks for confirming. I got worried I was imagining things again. One of the 2 overseas ones has been given a crap name “Animal coaster” and painted a terrible colour. It definitely deserves better than that. The other one is hard to find info on as RCDB has missing information on it. Edit. I found all three https://rcdb.com/9953.htm https://rcdb.com/10419.htm and we all know Sydney’s one. ”crazy car coaster”s trains appear to be in excellent condition. The track and supports have had better days.

Sea World Monorail removed from website and park map
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Cool. Seaworld definitely needs a transport type ride of some sort. I probably still would rather the monorail, but this is a far better option then no monorail at all. -
Trust me I have . Yeah. Good move to try and lighten people’s worries about ride stoppages and get more people comfortable coming to your park. I must say though I didn’t realise you had to pay.

Can’t answer your question but that makes sense to me. I find it funny the spike is not a little closer to the hot hat honestly. A swing launch would surely not need so much room. Apparently (the source seems legit but take it with a bowl of slat) a LSM launch if given enough power could launch the train up the top hat in the same amount of room as the hydraulic launch could. And a swing wouldn’t need so much power. -
Ngl this is awesome. Will definitely give the ride decades more of life. Incredible they are doing another big spend so close to the 30M they just spent (can’t remember the exact number). Might not be open for another 3-5 years though depending how quick they get into it. Heritage listing adds many complications. If I could ask for one thing it’s that the original cars are kept or exact clones. Modern cars/trains? would be a bit of a shame but I guess “safety” is a concern. It’s operated for around 70 years no dramas though. I hope they give it a more permanent feeling station building. In a similar style to big dippers. Very exciting to hear that’s happening though! Must mean the return on investment to the park was decent. one thing to add though. I remember someone telling me once the man who built the mouse originally made 3 units. But someone else made Aussie worlds mouse. But then according to RCDB the same guy made both. Does anyone know which is true?

Last time I checked they just ran multiple huge refurb runs. The biggest being GD . Doing now serpent slayer probably gave that ride a few more years. Yes I realise you put /s on the back but dragging DW in seems a bit silly. Village should just buy DW and dominate the Gold Coast at this point.

Good to see the news cover something like this. DW should definitely look into doing this. The accident definitely is still spoken about. It comes up every time I talk about the parks with relatives.

I haven’t fully be following but I think the general thing that’s been going around is it won’t need 3 launches. Just 1 forward 1 back and then because the spike goes so much higher then the top hat it should Coast up without an extra boost. -
Definitely would help but you would still get hot. When you’re moving around a lot air con doesn’t feel like it does much. And storms queue is hot as hell.

It’s gotta be one of the most hyped coaster refurbs of all time. -
It feels like lately village road show have been pushing for getting the village name more involved in the parks. Unless you’re an enthusiast you’re not really going to know the name of dreamworlds parent company. While village has been pushing the village name into their parks a lot more. This seems like another move to get their name in the parks. So that when people think of SW, MW and WNW you think village roadshow .

It’s hard for an Aussie to get to Ohio in some ways. Somehow California is a lot easier. I guess it depends if you have family over there and where abouts they are. I got a few in one of the worst state for coasters. -
In some ways you’re more likely to see more effort put into a Regional park. The smaller parks do the little things as they can’t all way’s afford big things. But larger chain parks chose to simplify things that wouldn’t seem like a big deal to them. I feel like at least a cap with the ride’s logo on it would be nice. It’s pretty easy to switch hat’s when moved to different locations around the park. I do feel like it would be nice to at least have themed outfits for scooby and SE . And maybe even Levithan considering the voiceover calls them “guardians”
-
They aren’t bad. You can still tell they are staff. Would be harder to tell if they weren’t in a group though. I don’t really care that much but I think the older ones were slightly better. These ones look like they might be security or something.

They probably could and that would be so fun but I doubt they will. Would be cool though -
Most likely the blue prints for the W were indeed put upside down in the manufacturing process.

Thanks! @TBoy. how’s this line The Auckland Star reported board member T. Bloodworth’s complaints: “The children of Auckland will grow up in the environment of an amusement park, open on six days of the week. This sort of thing, going on day in and day out, can only be harmful.” oh yes very harmful . If they aren’t careful they might actually have fun. Wouldn’t want that.

Trying to learn a bit more about the obscure and lost parks around Australia and New Zealand. This one especially caught my eye . Footage is extremely rare especially of the coaster but I thought someone on here might have heard a few interesting things about the park or the coaster. Does anyone know if it had the same layout as LPM’s scenic railway? Here’s the one photo I was able to find of the coaster. It appears to be a bit taller than SR at LPM but it might just be the way the photo has taken. The entrance honestly looks a bit unsettling.
