Does anybody know what happened to the chairlift from the old Sydney Showground that has now become Fox Studios. I do not mean the larger Gondola lift that later went to Wonderland and become ''Skyrider''.

I'd say because it was so old and **** it was chucked in the rubbish binny.

As a kid I used to love that chairlift. It really was a great ride. It used to take you over everything - I remember looking down on all the pigs, cows etc. It was also a good way to escape the crowds for a while. I'd say it is one of the major things which is lacking from the new showgrounds. Bring back the chairlift!

That Chairlift gave me my very first, nerve-racking chairlift ride (which wasn't enclosed, or stopped at a station). I was scared like hell of those chairlifts, At Jambaroo, i used to have to get te operators to stop the ride for me so I could get on.
