I was at the spit on Sunday and all I could see was a small-ish crane near the Pirate Ship. Is it just me or are all the parks getting things up REALLY fast these days. Whitewater World came together REALLY fast, Batwing almost flew up (pardon the pun) and now the Seaworld Eye. Good on all the parks! Great to see!

Might just be the rush to get it open for the hollies next month? they get alot of money during the Christmas period.

Wow, It looks bigger that I thought it would be. Will this have lights on it, kinda like Luna Park's ferris wheel does?

Yeh, I agree Ozcoasterfreak. They seem to be really organised with the timeing and everything. It basically looks like WVTP's have made to rides in two days!!! Anyway, thanks for the pics matt. The wheel looks really good and will changs Seaworld's skyline for ever. CoasterBoy6

I got one pic today while going past, its not a close up or anything (I did try and get one but failed) goldcoastdec1014jj7.th.jpg

It doesn't and thanks..that was taken while we were going 60/80kmph soo it came out good lol.

Lol yeah I am, mw wednesday, wnw thursday, dw/sw friday.

Thanks Rabid. That's going to give a great view of the surrounding area at 60 metres high. Are the platforms for if it breaks down guests have ways to get out?

:D I'm loving the pic! the Seaworld eye looks awsome! :P and it even matches the seaworld theme colours (The whites and blue greens!) looks awsome! But being a Melbourne boy I have to mention that the are building one very simular in the docklands of melbourne! and it is going to be the 2nd biggest 'eye' or (ferris wheel if you can call it that)in the world but I forgot what it was going to be called? so melbourne's skyline will once again change after the eureka building completed!

I was at the spit on Saturday and the Seaworld Eye looks fantastic! It really stands out and in the best possible way. Plus I think they were testing it as it was moving every now and then, unless of course they had a soft opening? I doubt it though.

The Sea World eye was in operation today - not to the public though. I saw it moving then on Nine GC news they had some bimbo reporting about all the new expansions, WWW included.

saw that to it was a pretty crapy report i would like to find out what the VIP one looks like aswell. p.s. you no y i like you myk coz you joined up on my b-day yay me lol

Yeah on the report they opened it up, it's not that extravagant, just an LCD screen and a fridge. I don't see why you'd want to watch TV with a view like that anyway.
