Well, if anyone was going to question the pace at which people can work when they really have to. Check out these pictures. On Monday, when I went, the place looked horrible, now check it out! 21-09-2007003.jpg21-09-2007004.jpg

It has turned out well. Nice and neat and I'm glad to see they made some attempt to continue the landscaping. It has certainly opened up the area a bit

I'm sorry but I think this looks pretty lame.. I mean, what do we have here?? Some colourful fibreglass bowls, turf and a garden that looks comparable to a local housing development. Yeah the area looks really 'nice' and I reckon that's just about all it is!

Even though they kept the look of the area (for now) quite simple, it still looks quite nice to me, but I'm not one to get upset about DW's theming.

it's not better or worse than wet and wild's new themeing in particular H2O zone
They don't even have grass do they? From memory it was just plain concrete. But i went opening week. Haven't been back since.

The 'Little Rippers' were operating today. In the morning only one was going, but they got the other running soon after... They're fun, but nothing compared to The Rip. The thing I found strange was that you can still use either one person or two person tubes... The loading areas get pretty congested with all the other slides there too... Off topic, Whitewater World was deserted... Some people got stuck in The Green Room just before the drop, they were there for a good half an hour, we were all told to come back later as they had 'water pressure difficulites'. :P What can they do if people get stuck in slides etc like that?

Yeah, there is plenty of grass, it looks on par with WWW actually.

Well, if the Simpson's have taught me anything, the solution is to send 20 kids down to clear the blockage. But in seriousness, I would have just held on to the raft and fidgeted/jumped a bit to get moving again. I don't think an on foot evacuation would have really been safe (was the water completely off?) as I could imagine people just slipping over.

Not strange at all, On the Proslide website they have the sales videos, they show both raft types in use. Do they make an effort to race people like on the BRO given the duelling effect?

^They take the whole slide piece out... like in the Simpsons... In all seriousness though, and with respect to some of the comments made about the general appearance. Keep in mind that the last time WhiteWater World built anything in this area, they ripped a whole bunch of the paths up to install these new attractions, so I think it is a safe option. I am personally pretty happy with the grassed area. It looks like a cool little place to go set up a picnic or something. EDIT: Sorry, was replying when Gazza's post came through with the Simpsons reference haha! Goes to show though.

I wished they bought the smaller, tighter "bullet bows" from Proslide. They would be more intense than normal Cannon-Bowls, give the same basic experience, and been more compact.
