Yes, but why then would the ride be called "Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy". Arkham City has nothing to do with the Asylum itself (In terms of location). The tagline "the inmates are running the Asylum" wouldn't make sense if it were arkham city. Besides Movie World has already stated that the ride is to be based on the events in the game - Batman: Arkham Asylum - when Joker took control of the Asylum, which took place one year before before the events Arkham City, and about 6 months before it even existed.

*18 months after AA , and actually if you think about it 1 1/2 "inmates" are running the city.... Ras and Hugo Theres also the addition of "Arkham City: Lockdown" which draws from both elements....

Just on the ads, I find it a little misleading that the ads say 'new coaster' instead of 'new coaster experience'. I realise they're completely redoing the theme, and the trains, but it's still the

  • "Inmates running the Asylum"? Clearly going to be Mad Max

  • How hasn't Spencer been banned yet.

Did anyone notice that Poison Ivy wasn't included in their Facebook album on the characters of Arkham Asylum today?

Either was - Scarecrow, The Riddler, Catwoman, Clayface, etc.

^ You did

Forgot the 'else'

Yes Scarecrow too! I wouldn't think that Riddler and Catwoman would be included because they were in Arkham City not Arkham Asylum.

They certainly seem to have gone with some lesser known villains for some reason (except for the Joker of course). I would have liked Scarecrow to have been included

You have to remember that the ride is being themed to the game not any of the movies so those are the major characters featured. Joker and Harley Quinn are the two main Villians in both the "Batman: Arkham Games", Bane also has a large role in both, and Croc is featured in the first game but only makes a cameo in the second. They also stated "It’s time to get to know who you just may came across in the Asylum.", so they might not have listed all the charaters here just a few to get people interested.

The Riddler does appear in the first game.

Dont really agree, as you have mentioned, everyone knows Joker. Harley Quinn is quite well known as the Jokers offsider, is heavily featured in the games and anyone who went to Fright Nights would see the relevance to her character with Arkham. Bane is very well known, he was terribly portrayed in Batman & Robin and will be even more relevant once the Dark Knight Rises comes out. The only one that people may not be aware of is Killer Croc as he has not appeared in a movie previously - so unless you have played Arkham Asylum, you probably wouldnt be familiar with him. Who knows what form these 'inmates' will play. They may just be in statue form (like the characters in the green lantern queue), and as Killer Croc would make for a very menacing 'villian' given he is 11ft tall and weighs 580 pounds (so says his character ID in Arkham Asylum) he would be a great choice.

^ I was just going to say that... Bane is in the next Batman movie so people will know who he is then! On the WB Facebook page they state "It’s time to get to know who you just may came across" by stating this could there still be more characters to come?? Are they just slowly teasing everyone in the lead up to the opening?

The Riddler does appear in the first game.

My bad

I know what you mean, but Poison Ivy was definitely a main character in both the games so they really should've included her in the album. But who knows what will happen, they might include more villains we will just have to wait and see..

http://movieworld.myfun.com.au/Rides-and-Attractions/Thrill-Rides/Arkham-Asylum.aspx?WT.mc_id=%20MWHHArkhamAsylum New background & description

The background isn't long enough for the page AND they are still in need of an actual logo for the ride. What's with all these marketing department failures lately (at BOTH parks)

That really depends on what kind of computer/laptop you're using, the background fits the page fine on my macbook.

It will be out soon but it is pretty much the one in the middle of the train in the mockups

Isn't that the overall Arkham logo? It won't be too similar I would think because they still have to fit the Asylum and the Shock Therapy unless they put the Asylum logo below the Arkham word and Shock Therapy under the diamond or something like that..

Pretty sure Asylum is under Arkham on the trains...just really hard to see in that picture. Look at the one on facebook or the website, you can see it better there

I thought that, but then I thought that it was just rust and not any words.. Ignore my last post.
