Faller Huss Topspin

I just spent 4 hours in the city, and ended up going to Hobbyco. Since my birthday is coming up within the next week, my brother agreed to buy me the Faller Freefall model. It looks like a pretty big task (409 pieces!), but I'm up for it I'll be doing a construction log as I progess.

Yeah the fair you've built looks rad Huss. I didnt realise they were motorised & worked, that makes them even cooler =D

It has a computer, how cool! Now I can see where some of  the money is going. The fair you have made looks cool, but do the dodgems do anything? What other ones are you considering getting?

yeah the dodgems are motorised, they run via magnets under the base that are connected to a chain, and next model is freefall tower

Just Thought Id add some new photos, currently working on Top In, and have made room for Freefall, behind Rainbow and Flipper next to Top Spin. I'll have another update for freefall and Flipper when they are done. Chris

They aren't hard at all. And they aren't hard to get done well. And they aren't time consuming unless you wanna spend hours afterwards tweaking it to look like an Aussie carnival ride. But they're expensive, which really blows.

Ive found that its stupid buying Faller models in Australia, I bought Freefall from a german website and saved up to $60 than what I would have payed if I got it from HobbyCo. I remember when a Melbourne shop had Wave Swinger, it was almost $400 and I got mine for just over $200. Also, they are time consuming if you want to make sure they operate correctly. Top Spin has to be taken slowly, otherwise it will just get wrecked. I have to take it apart next month to re-grease the Brass Gears.
