What are all the ladder like tracks there for are they just for maintenance or are they permanent ?

They always put horizontal ladders in the channel during maintenance in case the world turns upside down and they need to climb out

They have taken a couple of weeks to build that but I have not worked out what it is for yet.

Surely the rafts aren't somehow bottoming out and needing a guide now after 20 or so years. So I would have to assume it's part of the normal maintenance routine for the ride. No idea exactly what it's for though. Unless it's raised to the point of where the bottom of the boats would sit as a guide for the workers?

But I believe I have seen this before.   I thought maybe it helped them do adjustment to the ramp but the part where it turns around the corner stumps me.

Looks to me like it's a safety feature that wouldn't impact normal operation but if rafts backed up it would stop one being able to go under water and flip. 

If what you're saying is right, maybe it's a new safety thing when the inevitable idiot stands up and tries to fall out of this too. At least then only one idiot has to drown, not a whole raft full.

And unlike the log ride, the idiot has a much smaller chance of being saved this time.

I think it's time they refurbished the motocoaster

Would be good if someone could capture a photo looking back towards the ramp where it ends.

Seems like they really need the boats off the ground at that point. Wonder why?

lol wat pain i've been on the ride many times don't even break a sweat every time. it's a kid ride that's why my sister likes it.

And I would have gotten one today, if it wasn't for the huge corrugated iron fence completely blocking the view in that direction from the bridge. Heaven knows we tried to see  Shame the ride is still down for maintenance, as it means the queue line area is off limits. Unless maybe we can send AndrewH in to get a pic or two.... 

Could this be a way of ensuring that the boat is flat and balanced out correctly, to ensure it goes onto the lift hill smoother?
