Looking at those lamp posts and the timber trunks, is actually not a fan of them, and don't think they match the area at all, in my opinion. I think I actually preferred them more when there wasn't anything and it was just a white post.

I was over in Southport yesterday and noticed what looked like shipping containers in the sea world car park. Has anyone been there recently/going soon that may be able to shed more light on what they are/are doing there?

Yeah there's shipping containers have been there for months and months now. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure they are the same ones that have been there since the construction of Nickelodeon Land last year.

This is probably a dumb question, but why are the carnivale floats there?! Is there a parade there aswell?

Carnivale will be a SW event from next year... displaying the floats all year round in park saves space in storage..

I haven't heard anything, but honestly, King (Neptune? Triton?... whatever) is King of the Sea, and a crocodile \ alligator fits right into the park too.

Not sure about the rest of them of course, but they have cross-promoted before. Maybe they've got some sort of summer carnivale type event planned over the holidays, given there are so many rides missing.

My initial thought was that they've just moved the 'sea' themed floats as photo ops over the summer, but then I noticed the masquerade girl float behind the Tritan one, maybe a summer mini-Carnvale style parade (similar to the old sponge bob one) could be an option, though seems late to have not announced it

Keen to see how it pans out, but IMO the plaza is too small for carnivale. There's a 99% chance in wrong though, so my only gripe now lies with the extra travel time to get there...... And the extra fuel money I'll have to pay @JaggedJanine to get there
