A friend of mine mentioned this when I was there last week - still happened! I find it bizarre because I never grey out during the pretzel loop on tatsu (which I believe feels more forceful)

Different kind of forces - sorta - Goliath pushes you downwards into your seat, which causes you to lose blood in your head. Tatsu pushes your back into the seat which doesn't affect your head as much

As @Theme Park Girlposted above, they were beginning to add the outside of the second helix. IMG_8408.thumb.JPG.814a134edd5d396c656ab479de94a4b4.JPG

Since her visit a few hours ago, there's now 4 pieces of track there, and you can easily see how it'll join back onto the rest of the helix with 3 more pieces of track. I am sure they won't connect these pieces until the N-i loop is finished.

There is kind of an 'X' crossover the double helix will make inside the N-i loop, despite it not being a figure 8. It's because of the helix climbing and diving as it goes.

The cranes are done for the day, so unless they're going to work tomorrow during the rain I'd say this is how it'll stand until Monday.

DSLR pics later on, hopefully more for the piece stitchers @docoaster and @rummy...

Does anyone think our loop will be similar in height to flash?

I don't think it will be taller because flashes loop is directly after the first drop when the coaster is traveling at its maximum speed, whereas i think MWs coaster will have an element like a airtime hill inbetween the drop and the current loop slowing the coasters speed and its ability to go around a loop of flashs size.

I've been thinking a little bit on the height of the loop. With the second twisted piece being number 43 and the Stengel starting with piece 49 there's 5 pieces left in between for a half-loop. Assuming 10m a piece that's 50m total - if I calculate a circle with 100m circumference (50m per half circle) I get a diameter of 31.8m. Obviously real loops aren't circular but my mathematical skills aren't proficient enough to calculate a Euler spiral. All the same, I don't imagine the height would go above 40m.

As long as they don't trim the heck out of the first hill / unknown element I reckon the train will take the twisted part at the top of the non-inverted loop with quite a bit of speed, might even get airtime! This thing could be absolutely bananas :D

Here's some of the pics from before I went in. As usual, I've downsized them somewhat to 2000pixels wide (or high if portrait). They're normally 4288x2848/300dpi.

Some of the supports. They're not all the same length and thickness.591d5e79748f3_2000pxDSC1355.thumb.jpg.a79c5cd1f7348995fa3dc16a2e230f43.jpg

Most of the supports in the above pics are for the loop.

Hey, part of the track nobody's seen before! /s

The twisted airtime, complete into it's next element. Note the dive out of it doesn't go all the way to the ground, but when the track comes back to this area it's very low to the ground. See below.

The reason the turnaround isn't finished? Parts 70 and 72 haven't arrived yet.

A track to the left of me, track to the right. Here I am, looking at piece 98 in the helix. Yeah, I can't sing.

The supports for section/track piece 32. Surely this is for an airtime hill? Most supports so far relating to the lift hill go as far as 15. This gives me the opinion that there's only one airtime hill from the drop.

From my phone pic earlier in the day, look at the supports leading into the 'loop'. Is the airtime curved like the Stengel Dive?

Last pic from the series before I went in. There's a curved catwalk, but it's NOT the piece out the front with the stairs. There's also some straight track behind that.

These pics are from later in the day, after TPG uploaded her pics. Careful fullsizing, the panoramas are big. 4000 pixels wide.

Well picked, Rummy. 'Loop' is certainly left-in, right-out. This angle, and the next pic below, really helps show how the helix is "wobbling" with climbs and dives.

Anyone want to Photoshop a non-inverting loop into this?

Hey guys ! My Name is Gero, I`m from Germany, living very close to Europa Park and the Mack factory. Knowing the enormous quality of the Mack Megacoasters, especially those unparalleled trains...I have to admit I`m officially jealous now :D I would so love to have that coaster you`re getting a little closer to me

I`m following the updates closely and enjoying it very much. Hope it´s okay if I`m joining the conversation a littlebit.

As we assumed, no work today due to the rain.

IMG_7956.thumb.JPG.eeee86b7ff58b7be1adb61bb939fd931.JPG

Coulle of large supports have been installed

IMG_7948.thumb.JPG.17867e0df3c0ecbaa92156e90d9cc601.JPG

Plenty of supports ready to be put in place

IMG_7955.thumb.JPG.34b71c8bc11ca83c502f21905ecc94da.JPG

A large support have been tied down until track is installed

IMG_7960.thumb.JPG.f536c8184591cb034c1260cc24d4a190.JPG

And there aren't many pieces of track left, so I imagine that quite a few will arrive next week, especially when GL goes down for maintenance in just over a week, so lift hill construction should start soon after

Here's a panorama I took yesterday, it should give everyone an idea of the amount of coaster development space still left between where they are currently up to (just to the right of the Stengel Dive) and the corner opposite Green Lantern where the lift hill is expected to be going.

20170518_232454.thumb.jpg.34f2820bb450e3fdc8a0cb3012251541.jpg

If you take that other image into account that @Inverted posted of the two green lantern coasters stacked up, you can also get an idea of how tall the lift hill is expected to be (yes, higher than the Stengel Dive hill, and taller than the Batwing!) when this thing is finished 😮

Needless to say that whilst fast progress is currently being made, there is a lot of track building still to come over the next 4 months 😁👍

I think an interesting thing that people missed here is the fact that there is some electrical conduct inside one of the footings that is believed to be a non inverting loop. Now why would electrical conduct be in this area inside a footing? Judging from the other supports it obvious that it's not for a MCBR, unless there are electronic breaks or trims. I think we might have some LED lighting or sign at the top of the non inverting loop. Maybe not a sign but some lights. Which would be cool if this ride had an awesome lighting package. Which you can see along the main highway. Sort of like the green lantern logo. Or it could be a for a camera for onboard photos or maybe some sensors.

Can anyone who goes to MW often confirm if they have seen a hallow support that a conduit can go through or is already going through?
